Arthur Leywin POV
I was currently walking on a long pathway snow falling heavily around me using mana with my assimilated body the cold wasn't affecting me. Sylvie had changed back into her white fox form to not draw any attention once we got to the camp.
Me and Sylv had been assigned to a camp at the sea front. We had been flying here most of the journey but stopped before we got here to not let any of the soldiers know how I am as I don't like the attention.
As I approached closer, I saw the entrance to the camp there was a wooden wall covering the length of the path stopping at the large cliff that overlooked over the sea. I approached the gate and as I did the two guards stationed their pointed their weapons at me. I approached them and showed the ring that identified me as a lance.
"I'm very sorry general ill inform the camp that you have arrived." One of the guards said as he went to leave.
"No please don't at least not yet, for now refer to me as sir and not general and where is the captains tent." I spoke in a monotone voice. The guard nodded at me before pointing me in the direction of the tent.
It was located in the centre of the camp and apart from size it looked no different than the rest of the tents being made of the same thin material. I went up to the opening and knocked on the small piece of wood next to it to get the attention of whoever the captain here is.
"Who is it." I heard a familiar feminine voice say. I then opened the flap and entered. As soon as I did, I felt the warm hit my face as I let the mana that was keeping me warm go as I felt the warmness of this room. On the inside I saw a large flame hawk laying down sleeping as there was a table with a map in the middle of the room and in the corner another flap that would probably lead into where the captain would sleep. Various papers were dotted around sitting behind a small desk was my former professor.
"Hello professor Glory nice the see you again." I said in a monotone voice.
"Oh, hello general Leywin it nice to see you again, and please you don't need to call me professor anymore you can just call me Vansay." she said wiles saluting me.
"Please you don't have to call me general just call me Arthur." I said keeping me serious tone.
"Of course, genera- I mean Arthur." she said wiles smiling at me gently.
"Ok let's get down to business where is the other squadron and have there been any sightings of Alcaryan ships our soldiers."
"The other squadron should be here tonight and there have been no sightings of any Alcaryan's." she replied seriously.
"Ok that's good we will have a full briefing once the other captain is here do you know who it is." I asked in a serious voice.
"Yeah, its captain Graves." she said. When I heard that name, I knew I had heard it somewhere before, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it after a few more seconds it finally hit me.
"You mean that idiotic student vice president back at Xyrus academy." I said still having a bad taste in my mouth from the snobby noble who thought he was above everyone and would always try and put a wedge between me and Tess.
"No, his father but still sounds like someone's not a fan of a former student council vice president." she said with a teasing tone.
"Hopefully he's more tolerable than his son." I said as I then returned to my serious persona.
"Anyway, ill head outside for a little bit a test some of the soldiers." a sudden look of dread came on her face.
"Please don't hurt any of them too bad." She said a slight terror in her voice. I simply headed out the tent without responding.
