Chapter 14

Arthur Leywin POV

I woke up with my eyes still closed I could feel the sheets of my bed covering me and my head is currently laying on one of the pillows on my bed. There was also something else what felt like a pair of hands were wrapped around me and a hot breath was hitting my face, I could feel the figure of somebody holding me wiles they slept. I opened my eyes to find a familiar face laying in front of me her pristine pale skin no longer covered in the grim I had first seen after coming back and her long gunmetal hair covering part of her face.

It was the face of the girl that deep down I had been dying to see properly for the last three years. I moved out of her embrace and sat up putting Tess's head onto my lap. As I looked at her, I was reminded of last night how I had cried into her shoulder for hours no matter what I tried or did this girl just wouldn't leave my side even when I tried to push her away or when I told her my darkest secret, she stayed by me even when we were separated. I started stroking her hair gentle relaxing with her on my lap after twenty minutes I felt the slumbering girl move as I looked down at her.

When I did, I saw a pair of turquoise eyes staring at me she looked happy a small smile on her face seeing this made my heart flutter slightly as I smiled gentle at her.

"Morning Art."

"Morning Tess."

"You feeling better this morning." she asked wiles sitting up next to me on my bed.

"Yeah.... thanks for helping and supporting me last night.... but you don't have to force yourself to do this." I said pulling my gaze down to the bed sheets.

"Art, I'm not forcing myself to do anything I'm doing this because I want to." As she said that she put her hand to my chin lifting it up to face her. "I'm going to stay by your side now and forever I love you so please take this wall you've built around yourself down there are so many how want to see you." She spoke.

"I'm sorry Tess but I can't not until this wars over I have to win so everyone can have a normal life." I responded with as much conviction as I could muster. I looked at Tess she looked slightly sad but then started talking.

"Ok if your completely adamant a bough doing this then you at least need to let me stay beside you. I'll stay beside you and if you ever need to talk cry or anything I'll be here." I was shocked she really just wanted to help me. I couldn't see my family and I didn't know many other people well enough maybe I can have Tess by my side I might not be able to open up to anyone else but maybe I can make Tess an exception.

"Our you sure." I said a bit of hesitant in my voice.

"Of course, I'll always stay beside you Arthur because no matter who you were, right now, you're the man I love your Arthur Leywin ok." She spoke a bright smile on her face.

I looked into her bright eyes as she stared back at me she seemed to move closer and before I knew it her lips where on mine. I subconical put my hands on her waist as we shared a gentle and tender kiss. She tried to break our kiss but without knowing it I pulled her back and continued our kiss making it deeper and more passionate I had my eyes closed but I suddenly heard the voice of an all too familiar old man.

"Oh, my what on earth have I walked into." I turned my gaze breaking my kiss with Tess to see an old man with white hair pointed ears and a wrinkled face with large bags under his eyes. The old man had a huge smile on his face wiles his eyes had a mixture of emotions. Excitement, happiness as well as a slight relief.

"Grandpa knock." Tess shouted wiles throwing a pillow hitting him right in the face.

"HAHAHHAHA well it looks like my future grandson in law is now properly decided." he said his laughter seemed to have caused more people to come through the door to see what was happening.
