Chapter 12 new foes

(I haven't had a chance to fully edit this so just a heads up for any grammar or spelling mistakes.)

Arthur Leywin POV

After an hour of flying, we made it to the clearing standing at the centre where two individuals stood. One stood at well over 2 meters tall he stood in a hunched position and had long thin arms that dangled by his sides as though they had popped out of his sockets. He wore black bandages under a black cloak that rested on his shoulders with the hood up, most of his forehead was covered by his bangs with two large obsidian horns pocking out he had two crimson red eyes that shone brightly.

The other had greenish hair like sea grass was stuck to his hair he had two obsidian horns coming out of his head, he looked like a walking skeleton with white flesh and a pale puffy face. His eyes were like empty holes because of how sunken and dark they were. He is tall and thin with Sharpe limbs wiles his spine and ribs where sharply defined. He wore a skin-tight black shirt and matching skin-tight black pants he wore a similar black cloak to the other one but with the hood down.

We all headed down landing a bough 15ft from the two retainers. I could feel the mana radiating from them I could tell they were both very powerful especially the one that is wearing bandages. I could probably beat them both in a one on one battle but if I fought both at the same time I would probably lose.

"Hello Discantheons my name is Uto a retainer under scythe Dragoth." the bandaged man introduced himself in a sadistic voice.

"I am Bilal a retainer under scythe Viessa we come here under orders from the high sovereign Agrona Vitra to give you the terms of surrender." the other man said his voice dead with no life.

"Surrender we will never surrender to you monsters." Gramps said his voice elevated but not on the level of shouting.

"Well, I will continue anyway, the terms of surrender will be that all the council members as well as their families will give themselves up and the Vitra clan have full controlee of this continent." he continued his voice not changing.

"Like we will ever agree to that, those aren't terms that's just you taking over." I said putting mana into my voice to make it louder.

"Well Arnt you a fierce one pup and you our quite powerful you our more powerful than any of the current lances I can't wait to fight you." Uto said his sadistic voice even worse than it was before. "What could I do to make you surpass your limits maybe kill your family, friends maybe someone you love." as he said that I let my killer intent lose I could hear Gramps buckle under the sudden pressure I looked at the two retainers I could see a slight sweat on Bilal's face and a look of surprise on Uto's face.

"Well, arnt you the impressive one such an intent I guess all I need to know now is who you care abought the most." He said a slight enjoyment obviously he was enjoying this.

"Oh yeah and Commander Virion wasn't it." As Uto said that a restrained my intent so gramps could speak.

"What do you want." Gramps said.

"Oh, I just wanted to say I can't wait to win this war so I can torture your granddaughter to death right infront of your eyes... its princess Tessia right." Him saying that made my blood boiled I released my killer intent to its fullest.

"You won't touché her if you ever dare touché her, I will tear you limb from limb." I said my voice having anger this was the first time I had let so much emotion out in three years.

"Oh, I see so Princess Tessia is the girl well I can kill two birds with one stone." I saw Gramps step forward his face full of anger and disgust. Suddenly a hand was laid on Grampuses shoulder I looked back to see Aldir who had stayed quite till now shake his head at the both of us as he did that, I once again restrained my intent and Gramps stepped back again.

"Let me say this now and I'll make it clear we will never accept those terms now you half breeds leave." As he said that both of them turned their backs and walking away.

"Well, I guess theirs our so kind offer gone well I guess our missions done now we bought enough time." Uto's words made me panike I looked at him. He turned his face a sadistic grin on his face.

"Oh, you didn't think this was just a talk it was just an excuse to get you four out of whatever hole you our currently hiding in, we have other plans oh by the way I'll say hello for the little elf princess for you commander and you as well of course pup." as he said that I realization suddenly hit me they were just a diversion their planning to go for the trailblazers where Tess is.

I lunged towards them drawing dawns ballad from my dimension ring. I draw the translucent teal blade from its sheaf and went for Uto but before I could a portal swallowed them up wiles, we waved at me with a sinister smile on his face.

"Gramps I'm heading back to the dungeon the trailblazers our currently in head back to the castle and I'll meet you there later." I then speed towards the dungeon Tess and the twin horns were in right now. Sylvie followed close behind me flying in her human form.

It took an hour and a half to get to the dungeon they were currently in once I got there, I saw adventures who wear part of the trailblazer squadron pouring out of the dungeon most of them hurt and bleeding. I didn't see Tess or the twin horns I then flew down to the dungeon entrance and headed in.

"Sylv, you stay out there and heal as many of them as possible." I transmitted to her.

"Ok Arthur." she answered.

I flew over the heads of all the adventures most of them looking at me with wonder.

I finally made it to a familiar large cavern. The formerly peaceful camp was now full of fighting with a few hundred Alacryans fighting the members of the trailblazers. I saw Tess being ganged up by several mages I flew down their landing in-between Tess and the Alacaryan mages. With Dawns Ballad in hand, I cut them down before they even had a chance to figure out what had happened.

"Art is that you." Tess asked in confusion I looked back at her she had a little blood on her clothes with dirt scattered around her face.

"Tess get everyone out of here ill deal with them." I spoke.

"What you can't fight them all alone you need help at least let me help you." she said worry in her voice.

"Tessia that's an order from a lance get out of here now." I said in a little more of a commanding voice. I looked back she looked slightly sad as she began to head away as she was abought to start running, I called her.

"Hey Tess don't worry abought me I'll be fine just make sure your teams ok alright." I said letting some emotion into my voice. She looked at me with a smile probably happy I finally spoke to her without putting up a front.

"Ok general." she spoke with a lightly sarcasm. I let out a small laugh as she headed off.

I prepared dawns ballad wiles preparing my spells.

'Alright you Alacryans prepare to die.'
