Arthur Leywin POV

"AND NOW PEOPLE OF DICATHEN I WOULD LIKE YOU TO WELCOME OUR NEWEST LANCE ARTHUR LEYWIN." I heard Gramps shout as he said that I headed onto the balcony as the light overtook my eyes, I heard the loud shouts of the thousands of people I then I saw all of the people far down below us.

I walked up to the front of the balcony Gramps standing next to me as I waved down to all the people. I turned to face Gramps as he looked back at me, Precilla then stepped forward and pulled a box from her pocket handing it to Gramps how then opened it to reveal the ring that all the lances wore. He placed it on my finger after I then saluted Gramps before turning towards the crowd me and Gramps both waving down towards them all.

"So, I hope your ready brat." Gramps said.

"Ready for what." I said in a slightly confused voice my eyes widened as I saw him take a voice amplifying artifact out, I now knew what he meant.

"Good luck." He said as he turned it on a loud noise came from it alerting everyone that a voice amplifying artifact had been turned on, Gramps then gave it to me before heading towards the back of the balcony.

I turned to look at the thousands of people waiting for me to say something.

"Hello people of Dicathen my name is Arthur Leywin I'm a commoner from the small town Ashber. Many people may disagree that a commoner let along a commoner so young should be a lance but the fact that commander Virion choose me himself should be proof enough of my ability. I know many of you our scared of what's to come but I assure you I along with the rest of the laces will do everything in our power to make sure this continent lives to see I bright future. Through this war your strength along with your loyalty will be tested. I'm not going to say this will be easy because I won't everything you believe in will be tested throughout this war." I paused for a minute letting everyone take in what I had said. "Even so I know that I am willing to fight and risk my life for this war so I hope you will trust us all to protect and save this continent." As I finished there was a dead silent's among the people on the crowd until one person shouted.

"LONG LIVE DICATHEN." with that one declaration an uproar of applause came from the thousands of people.

"LONG LIVE DICATHEN, LONG LIVE DICATHEN, LONG LIVE DICATHEN."

Sylvie then transformed into her dragon form roaring loudly making all the people silent for a minute before they continued their cheers.

I headed back leaving the balcony alone wiles everyone else stayed out to wave at the crowd for a while. I heard some footsteps follow me off I looked behind me to see Tess following me.

"Hey Art you ok." She said with a little nervousness.

"I'm ok Tessia thanks for asking." I said not letting much emotion into my voice, I didn't like acting like this in front of her, but I couldn't risk someone spying on us a finding out a bough my relationship with Tess.

"Yes, thank you." She then got a little closer so she could whisper something into my ear without anyone else hearing. "My parents want to speak to both of us later in their dining room meet their tonight at six." I simply nodded as she backed away.

"Well brat that was quite the speech how know you were so talented." Gramps said wiles laughing

"Thanks, you commander I hope its ok if I go back now and get changed." I spoke.

"Of course, Arthur." Gramps said before continuing. "But also, Arthur, I want you to know that your parents our leaving tonight to participate in the war.
