Chapter 21

Arthur Leywin POV

Darkness that was the only thing around me pure darkness no light no objects just an eternal dark void of nothingness. What happened the last thing I remember was talking to Scythe Seris and then after she left everything went dark.

I tried moving my body even the slightest bit any signs that I was still alive, but my arms didn't move an inch. I stopped struggling as I let the darkness envelop me, I closed my eyes finally giving up.

As I closed my eyelid's I felt something an energy unlike anything I had ever felt it was similar to when I activated static void but far more potent like it was everywhere around me. As I opened my eyes once again, I found myself in a different place in was like a pure sea of the purple particles I saw when activating realmheart. There was only one answer to what this could possibly be.

'Aether'

I thought to myself it was beond anything I could imagine. I dipped my hand into the purple ocene as I did, I felt the power it had within. I put my hand to it focusing on its power but no matter how much I tried the aether wouldn't bend how I wanted it to it would only move slightly but would then refuse to listen. After a few more minutes of trying, I gave up sitting back in exustion.

"Well, well you aether controlee is really lacking isn't it Boy." I heard the voice of a man.

Looking behind me I saw a man past his prime he had long grey hair and a long beard that went to his chest. He wore long grey rode's with a purple lining. It was only at that moment I realized where I was standing, I was on a small island that was made of what appeared to be glass but the edges where glowing purple. Behind where the man was standing was a throne that was not overlay decorated.

"Who are you." I yelled wiles gritting my teethe I tried conjuring a sword of ice but there was no ambitious mana to use here.

"Who I am is not important is not WHO I am but it's what I can do for you." he said I put my fists infront of me ready for an attack.

The man all of a sudden disappeared before repapering infront of me, before I could even react. He put his finger on my solar plexus right where my mana core is. As his finger started glowing purple, I felt a pain in my core as the aether on his finger started borrowing into my core after a few minutes it was over. As I looked at my core in the centre not far from Sylvias will was a purple dot, I looked back at the man in confusion before he once again disappeared before reappearing behind me putting his hand on my back. His hand once again glowed purple as I felt a pain in my back like something was being burnt into my skin.

"Use these gifts wisely Boy." he said. As he finished, I felt my consciousness drift away as the darkness came back to me, but instead of staying a light appeared above me as it finished engulfing me, I felt my body that was in agony as my eyes started adjusting to the light of the room. After a few minutes a could clearly see the ceiling of a room and the comfort of a mattress beneath me it was currently dark in the room with the only light coming from the moon that was directly outside the window shining brightly onto the bed.

I then felt a small hand on my left arm. Looking over I saw an elf girl with beautiful gunmetal hair that shined like silver in the light of the moon her pale skin seemed to radiate with the light of the moon on her she was wearing a simple grey rode that suited her perfectly. Tess was currently asleep peacefully her face calm and her pink coulered lips closed. As I looked at her, she seemed like an angel sent from heaven with her long hair spred across the large bed.

As I looked at her, I felt the pain I was feeling disappear for a few seconds before reappearing as a slumped back onto the bed wiles facing Tess. I then took my left arm and put it under Tess's neck pulling her into a hug. As I felt sleep take over me again.

As I felt my eyes open once again, I had to adjust to the radiating light of the sun that was right on my eyes. After a few more minutes I was finally able to look around and as I did, I saw Tess who was snuggling into my chest in her sleep. I moved onto my back wiles trying to not wake the slumbering Tessia up, she was currently laying on the left side my chest. I still felt a stinging pain coming from my right side where the retainers attack had landed.

After half an hour I felt the low groan of Tess as she started waking up, I gently shock her slightly trying to wake her up.

"Hey Tess it's time to wake up."
"Five more minutes Art. WAIT ART YOUR AWAKE." she shouted immediately getting up and hugging me tightly which hurt slightly but I let her be.

"Hey Tess I'm ok now ok." I said wiles putting my left arm tightly around her waist as she started sobbing.

After a while she stopped getting off me and making sure I was ok, which I assured her I was she gave me a sceptical look but let it go and instead gave me a gentle smile. I then looked around the rest of the room and saw Sylvie laying on a large couche fast asleep.

"How long was I out." I said in-between horsed couthese.

"A little over three days we were all so worried abought you what the hell happened to you."

"I got careless during a battle and got injured its nothing to worry abought Tess." I said wiles caressing her head.

"Ok but be more careful in the future ok." she said seriously giving me a sad look.

"I will promise." I said giving her a small kiss on the forehead.

"Have you been here the hole time." I asked wiles looking at the ceiling.

"Yeah, me and Sylvie have basically not left except me to get changed and get a shower. Ellie has basically been here all the time rarely leaving your side, you should make up with her she misses you." Tess spoke with a bit of sadness in her voice.

"I don't think I should I don t want to cause an even bigger rift between her, Alice and Reynolds." I spoke.

"You know she misses you more than anything your all she talks abought she wants you back, she needs her older brother." Tess spoke seriously, it really hurt me acting this way towards Ellie because I love her and want her to be safe.

After that me and Tess talked more abought her dungeon dives and I told her abought all my new duties as a lance. After a while we ended up kissing and after a little bit, we were making out on the bed.

I was so focused on Tessia that I hadn't heard the door open and then suddenly heard the voice of an old man.

"Well, well looks like I might have some great grandchildren sooner rather than later." he spoke.

Me and Tess stopped instantly and looked in the direction of the door to see Gramps their along with Alduin and Merial. Alduin was looking away trying to look oblivious wiles Merial had a small smirk as she looked at us both.

"GRANDPA KNOCK." Tess screamed wiles throwing a book at him which he caught.

"Wow never though you would be that aggressive Arthur.' I heard through my mental link looking in the direction I saw Sylvie looking at me with a mischievous grin, but I could still see a small tear of relief in her eye.

"Arthur." I heard Merial say which made me look at her. "Your sisters been waiting for you." she said wiles pushing my baby sister infront of her who was looking down, but I could see the small tears in her eyes. I simply actioned with my hand for her to come to me. After that she came dashing towards me lunching herself into my chest as she began to sob into me asking why I kept getting hurt and why I kept ignoring her. I just continued to hug her wiles whispering into her ear that I was "sorry, and I wouldn't do it again."

If you couldn't tell I am planning to make Arthur a lot more powerful even before he gets his dragon body and aether core.
