Christmas Through Your Eyes

A/N: I own only Nimue and her part in the storyline/plot thing

The sounds of the ambulance fills the air, the always busy ER filling with paramedics and emergency personnel. 

1 hour earlier:

"Kai, is this really necessary for finding your sister," Nimue asks as they walk towards Whitmore College, stopping in the middle of the street.

"Nim, what's with the sudden change of heart? Do not tell me that these people made you join them. They kept you captive all this time. Not to mention my family locked us away because we were different," he says looking at her with a piercing stare. Nimue sighs and nods along with him.

"You're right," she shakes her head clear of her doubts. "Of course you are right. They need to pay," she interlocks her hand with his allowing him to siphon just enough magic. With one hand raised they both caused a car to slam into another and then another leading to a pile up on the road.

Present Time:

Two paramedics burst through the doors into the ER with a young woman bleeding profusely out of her abdomen. Josette walks into the room as the ER team call out to her.

"Doctor, we have a young female with abdominal wounds," the paramedic says as she guides the patient in.

"Put her in T3. I need 10 milligrams of morphine. Mine's conscious," the paramedic and the ER nurses move the patient into T3 for Josette.

"I see a lot of blood, no broken bones. Making any sense to you," another doctor in the room says, in regards to his patient, says to Jo."No, it's not. What happened to you? Were you hit by a car," she says as she get closer to the girl to assess her injuries."I can't breathe," the patient gases for air as her eyes are widening with fear of everything around her. 
"It's ok. You can tell me what really happened," Josette says in her efforts to calm the patient down. "Sweetheart? Look at me." The girl starts to frantically move her body around the bed trying to flee, as the other doctor falls to the floor. "What happened to you?"

The girl looks to her right and sees the reason behind the incident, a man with her blood running down his face, get up from a bed across from her and make his way to her doctor. She screams to warn Jo, but it Kai is faster as he grabs Josette.

"I stabbed her," he says placing a needle into her neck and injecting her with a sedative.

Later that day:

Inside the Salvatore family crypt, Kai and his siblings were completely reunited. Nimue was seated along the floor beside an unconscious Josette, keeping her safe until Kai said otherwise. Kai was holding a knife and admiring it with a sense of pride and arrogance, as this was the knife that would eventually bring him everything he ever wanted.

"I know I tried to kill you when you were toddlers but I gotta say it sure is nice to be around family for the holidays," Kai says as he turns around to face his youngest siblings, Luke and Liv. Nimue notices the look on the twins' faces as they look from Kai to Jo, she remembers it as the same look her brother gave to her the night she left. Hopelessness. 

Her mind drifts to the only family that truly cared for her, Gawaine. She begins to wonder about him and how his life continued without her. How he or Lancelot may have become the leader of the coven in her absence. If any of them missed her.

But as soon as those thoughts entered her mind, they were sent away in a fit of envy and rage. She made a promise to herself the night she ran away and with Kai's help they will finally get their happy ending.

As Nimue was fighting with her internal monologue, Kai went outside the crypt with Liv and Luke. He took hold of a large stick and began to trace a line in the ground.
