Jealousy

Dinner

Me and Mencia walk into the Lake club getting Sat at a two person table. Order are food and talk while we wait.

"So how have you been?"

"Ok. I guess. You and Ari?"

"I've been better, but I'm definitely more ok than Ari. She's been a wreck. It was awful. She just wouldn't stop crying."

"I'm glad I got to go with Ivan. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, or trying to sound like I've been through more trauma that night, but I don't think my mental health would be able to take her crying all night long. It took a lot for me to not cry myself."

"Ivan offered to take you, because he thought I would have a lot to deal with with Ari alone. He thought it would be especially difficult with you both upset about this. Honesty I wished he would have tooken Ari instead. I could handle you easier especially since I usually helped you with this stuff just like you helped me since Ari never broke down and cry. Ivan is lucky he got you tell him I said that cause I was very jealous that he chose you. That's who I was going to choose. At least i didn't have to deal with both of you though."

It took me a minute to take all this in once I did i started laughing. In  reality this is something only Mencia would say to me, since she never got along with Ari not really. Ari was always a person who knew who she is and what role she plays in society or anything really. She was also dads favorite cause she did anything he asked. Mencia was right Ivan got lucky with choosing me instead of Ari.

The only other time Ari had gotten upset is when our mother died. Of course all of us were sad. But to say she over reacted was a understatement. She wasn't even that close to her and in all honesty the only reason she was so upset is because everyone was paying more attention to me and Mencia even father was and she hated it. I love my sister truly, but she's so fucking dramatic at times.

"I'm both hurt and honoured. You'd rather deal with me I'm happy about that, but you don't think you could deal with both twins. That sounds like something emmery would say. Although she hated Ari."

"Yeah, she would. I wonder what she would think about all this. I know as soon as all this happened she would have ushered us both away from all this."

"Yeah, i told Ivan i knew her he was shocked."

"I don't blame him."

We get our food and our bottle of champagne and once we're finished I'm a little drunk. I convince Mencia that we should go to a club since I want some weed and I have none on me. I know that's where one of the dealers I usually go to goes. I don't tell her that part though. It's more along the lines of.

" We should go to the club to release some stress."

"Idk."

"Come on. Just for a little bit. Then you can go back to Ari since I told Ivan i would text him later."

"Fine. I'm going to need something if I have to deal with Ari again all day."

I hear her whisper beneath her breath something along the lines of "I hope they let her stay with Samuel forever". Or something like that.
