"Ah, darling, you're finally awake!" Elise's eyes fluttered open as Doctor Starline knelt in front of her, "And I was just starting to get bored of you." He stood up and gestured behind him to a half destroyed kingdom, civilians either evacuating or getting pulled into a rift. He had a large smile on his face, as if admiring a work of art.
"Welcome to the Sol Kingdom."

Blaze was waiting in the doorway, her foot tapping as Silver gathered some things into a small bag. She knew these things were important for him, but she was growing impatient and scared.
"Silver, please," she spoke, "if we stay behind any longer we'll only put ourselves in danger." He nodded and sped up, stuffing multiple packs of incense and bundles of crystals into the bag all at once. When he had finished packing, he quickly rose to his feet and took Blaze's paw.
"Right, let's go!"

The two of them fled the castle, running through a kingdom torn apart by rifts, stealing buildings, supplies and people, and sending them to who knows where. Silver froze and looked around him. Hundreds, possibly thousands of people, were being caught in the rifts, trying to save each other and even themselves. But then Silver's eyes widened in horror as he watched a small child clinging on for dear life, crying for their parent. He felt his eyes sting, just as he was grabbed by the arm and dragged away.
"Don't get distracted, Silver!" Blaze yelled. But Silver just let his tears leave in front of him as the child fell and disappeared.

"What..." Elise muttered, her voice croaky from being lost, "What have you... done...?" Starline turned to look at her with a face mocking confusion.
"What have I done?" he asked, "I just showed you a kingdom shrouded in mass destruction and you bother to ask me what I've done?" He stared at her in silence, then let out a strong laugh. Elise just trembled, and looked down at her bloodied heap of a hand. The pain was unbearable, but it eventually grew numb as she was out. And now she just didn't feel it. Like it wasn't connected to her body at all. How strong even was this guy?

"I think it's obvious, but since you're..." he looked her up and down, "...dumb, I'll explain." He turned back to his destruction, hailing it joyfully. "THIS is the true potential of the Warp Topaz. One I could never reach in the presence of my idol and co-doctor Ivo Robotnik. Luckily he is of no issue now, so I can cause as much destruction as I please."
"But..." Elise whispered, "Why..?" Starline looked at her with a scoff, and laughed a little.
"Why not?" he asked. No response. "Precisely. There's no reason not to so why shouldn't I cause a little bit of devastation."

Doctor Starline eyed the landscape... then noticed something. "Huh." It was Blaze and Silver, one pulling the other behind them. Starline let out a single, short laugh, and shrugged his arms. "Why, heh, why isn't THAT wonderful, huh?" He turned to Elise, who backed up, knowing that tone. "The princess of Sol, and her little... friend. Both of them, running away safely from their perfectly orchestrated doom!" He began to laugh more, approaching Elise, who kept retreating. "Isn't that- Oh isn't that just GREAT! How amazing is THAT, Elise?!"
"You're a... m-monster...!" she whispered desperately, but she could no longer back away. She looked in panic as the cliff extended below her, the only thing that could possibly make her survive was a river, yet jagged rocks protruded from its surface. She was doomed. Starline found this opportunity to grab her arm, yanking it towards his body.

"Oh, I'm a monster, am I?" he laughed, "Why don't we see..." he began to tug at her arm, positioning his foot onto her shoulder, "...how much of a MONSTER I can be?!" The force on her arm increased, and Elise winced in pain. She could feel parts of her skin start to rip and tear away from each other, and she couldn't help but cry out. Starline laughed loudly at her pain, and tugged harder. The pain only increased. Elise looked back at the cliff underneath her, and she noticed someone suspended in the air, gesturing towards her. A chance to survive...

She looked up at her captor, and spoke in a hoarse whisper.
"I'd... prefer you rip off my arm... and I die... rather than have you... take my world away from me... while I'm still alive..." This made him smile even more.
"Aww, but I thought we'd have a lot more time together! Ah well, your request is my command, my lady." He pulled at her arm, and pulled, and pulled again. She watched as her skin was torn with each pull, exposing flesh, muscle and eventually bone. When he reached the bone, he let out a final triumphant burst of laughter, and broke her bone underneath his elbow. This caused her to fall over the cliff, her arm remaining in Starline's grasp. He watched her fall, but his maniacal face fell into that of shock, as he saw Silver catch her in his arms. He had been had. And he was not having it.

"AH-" she let out a raspy cry of pain as the flames seared her flesh. The smell of cooked meats filled her nose, but Silver only patted her shoulder in reassurance.
"It will hurt for a while," Blaze told her, "but it is only to stop you from bleeding out." Her whole arm was gone, and Blaze was cauterising the wound at her shoulder, although it hurt. At least it hurt less than when it was ripped off. "So, can you tell us what happened?"
"I..." she began to speak, but she coughed and spluttered, Silver patting her back. "I... was taken... from... from my... kingdom... a-and... and..."

"Hold on, relax," Silver spoke, reaching into his bag, "You don't have to speak so much if it hurts..." He dug out a small stake of light blue crystal, holding it up to the middle of Elise's throat. "Hold it there. It's a throat chakra, it can help heal your throat. Aquamarines help lessen the anxieties around talking, and let you speak freely." Elise carefully took the crystal and held it near her throat. She was taught to shut her eyes and relax, and to say to herself that she was strong, she could speak her mind, and that nothing could harm her and her voice. She was told to picture the crystal healing her throat, removing the negative energy and replacing it with a bright light which filled her entire body. Eventually, she found that she could speak, though her voice was still quiet and her throat still hurt a small bit.

"My kingdom was attacked by that platypus. Doctor Starline, he said his name was..." Blaze smiled softly at Silver, who listened intently to Elise. "He opened those rifts... the ones that are harming your own kingdom. I saw it myself..."
"That's absolutely horrible, miss..." Silver spoke quietly, and looked over at Blaze. "Are you done?" She nodded and moved her hand away. All that time Elise was distracted, and her wound had been cauterised. She didn't even feel it at all. She smiled.
"Thank you, ma'am." Blaze smiled also at the gratitude.
"Just call me Blaze."

That night, Sonic had to sleep in King Arthur's room. It was dark, and an armour stand stood in the corner, creating an illusion of someone standing there. Yet Sonic knew nobody was in there, and he smirked.
"Trying to intimidate me, are ya?" he called out at it jokingly, "Well I'm not scared, as I've got cool weapons!" He mocked a sword, slashing it at the stand and making cool sword slashing noises. This made him laugh. Whoever this King Arthur guy was, he must have a lot of fun being a king. Sonic sighed and laid in the huge bed. It was surprisingly comfortable, and he soon found himself sound asleep.

Someone snuck in. And someone else. And someone else. The three intruders quietly climbed through the window one by one, and gazed upon the sleeping hedgehog.
"He does look a lot like him..." Storm muttered, Wave shushing him. Jet slowly approached Sonic, a weaved sack in his hands, and quickly shoved him into it, just in case he woke up and made a fuss. Which he did.
"OI! WHAT'S GOING ON!" he thrashed around, the bag glowing blue and sending Jet crashing into a wall.
"HELP ME THEN!" Jet yelled out, and Storm and Wave helped grab the bag and leave the castle, Sonic helping out a bunch with his constant dashing. He was basically the whole reason they got back to their castle undetected.

He was taken out of the bag and thrown to the floor. He groaned, looking up at the three rogues.
"You guys again..." he muttered. Jet turned to look behind him and spoke.
"We got him, Sovereign." They stood there in silence for a while, then all three nodded. The bigger one and the purple one grabbed Sonic by the arms and dragged him forward, managing to power through his desperate kicking.

He was taken towards a throne, where a small bird sat. They had a beautiful crown upon their head, adored with shining emeralds, yet they weren't the same as the chaos emeralds. Their colours were more of a pastel, yet they shone in the same manner as the chaos emeralds. The bird who wore the crown was a pigeon. They wore a turquoise silk scarf that hung loosely around their neck and salmon pink gloves and fluffy boots. Their amber eyes stared straight at Sonic with a smile adorning their beak.

It was Terra.
