"Are you fucking kidding me!? What did I say!? I said specifically not to ask Kayla!" "I'm sorry, she was my last resort and she was happy today so I figured I'd ask her!" "She was happy?" "Yeah she wouldn't stop smiling. I think her cheeks started to hurt because he wouldn't stop rubbing them for a while. I don't know, she's weird. Which is perfect! Because she fits right in!" Eddie stared at him and paced back and forth. "How smiley was she?" "Hey guys, I'm not one to throw party's or even be invited to them but I'm pretty sure this isn't what a welcome party is supposed to be like." Kayla poked her head out of the door. "Be right there!" Dustin yelled. Kayla shut the door. "Okay.. okay. I can work with this."Eddie whispered. "We-" "yea we can work with this. Okay cool." He slapped his hands together. "Let's get this campaign started." "Oh yeah, she said she's not playing." Eddie stopped in his tracks and blinked at Dustin. "Are you-" "guys I got a new member!" Mike said running up to them. "You didn't say they had to be a high schooler!" "This is Your little club?" "Erica?" "What nerd?" She said looking at Dustin. Eddie looked at all three of them and rolled his eyes. "Whatever, welcome to hellfire." He said walking in the room. "What a nice guy." Erica mocked walking behind him.

"Oh another girl, maybe I won't fill so depended on if there's another women here." "I'm not playing. I have no idea what d&d even is. I'm just here so I look like I have friends." I said smiling at the girl. "You picked a bad group honey." Erica said sitting down. I smiled at Eddie who had rolled his eyes a moment before. I stood in the back awkwardly holding my sketchbook. "Kayla come sit." "Dustin said pointing at the chair next to him. "I don't want to be in the way if I'm not really participating." "Come here." Eddie said pulling a chair up next to him at the head of the table. I dropped my bag and sat down. Eddie looked at me confused "wow that was easy. I for sure thought you were going to argue with me." I looked at him and shrugged. "I guess you really wanted to sit next to me that badly huh." Eddie said setting up his stuff. I looked at all the boys who were talking to each other and began messing with my fingers. "No I just didn't want to waste my breath arguing with you." I smiled at him. His lips stretched in to a smile. "You're ridiculous." "Im actually Kayla." He blinked at me and rubbed his face. "Let's start!" Weirdly enough I caught myself giggling. I noticed he smiled at me which sent butterflies down my spine. I watched as the table went quiet. The Erica and the boys were deeply interested in what Eddie had to say. I grabbed my sketch book and pencil and began to draw. "In the poor town of Greendale there was a ruler, a beautiful queen." I looked up from my drawing and looked at the boy. His eyes sparkled as he looked on at the group. I pulled my legs up on the chair and continued penciling. "She's a great ruler, smart and strong. But just like the poor towns people, she has her own problems and she needs your help." I looked at Eddie as he said " But it'll be harder than you think, the queen pushes everyone who even shows an ounce of love for her away.." "Why?" A curly haired boy asked. "I don't know, why don't you find out." "12" Eddie smiled at the boy as he shook the dice in his hand. "Let's get know this queen gentleman." The room echoed with silence.
