Kayla stood by the door holding herself. She was petrified at what had happened. Eddie wasn't any better. He was silently panicking as he paced back and forth to his room and the living room. "I really need to smoke." He rubbed his face with his hands. "Should we tell someone.." Kayla murmured as the room went silent. She made her way to the couch where she sat down and covered her teary eyes. "I don't know. I mean yeah, but what will we say? We just came back from a party and he was just floating in the air." He said sarcastically. "Kayla no ones going to believe us. And then Steve will get in trouble for distributing alcohol to minors. And we'll most likely look guilty for driving off from a crime scene. They'll think I ran him over or something." "No they won't" she spoke softly. "He looked like he was hit like multiple times. I don't know if you know the meaning of multiple bu-" "His eyes were gone Eddie. They're gone.." Eddie sat down beside her and grabbed her hand. "Where did his eyes go?" She asked holding in her breath. "I don't know sweetheart.... But we'll figure it out. Let's just get some sleep." Eddie kissed her forehead gently. Leaving butterflies to float in her stomach. "You can take my bed and I'll take the couch!" He yelled form his room. The sound of clothes hitting the ground was slightly amusing. But Kayla had no energy to laugh, she couldn't even smile. She had been processing what she had seen. "I put a shirt on the bed for you to change into if you wanted." He dropped a blanket on the couch and plopped down. He was in a pair of sweatpants and a bleached stained band shirt. Kayla smiled at him. "Thank you." "If you need anything, I'll be here. Okay." They smiled at each other for a moment. Eddie looked at her like he wanted to say something else but before he had gotten the courage to do so Kayla spun around and waddled into the bathroom. Washing her tear stained face with water. She stared at her reflection. Her eyes were red and puffy. Her hands were still shaking and the feeling of nausea crawled up from her stomach to her heart.

Eddies room was small, cluttered but surprisingly clean. The bed was sloppily made but I'll give him an A for effort. There was a Hellfire shirt on the pillow folded neatly. I grabbed it and by the countless amount of wrinkles I could tell he had just folded it. I pulled off my shirt and slipped his on. It was significantly bigger on me, the bottom almost meeting my knees. I slid off my jeans and crawled into his bed. There was a dip in the middle of the mattress. Obviously a perfect outline of where Eddie sleeps. It was almost comforting. The trailer was quiet. The sound of the air conditioning was the only thing keeping me from a break down. The quilted blanket was nice, it smelled like him. The scent allowed me to concentrate on my breathing. I closed my eyes and attempted to fall asleep.

"Eddie.." I jolted up from the couch and looked up at the figure standing just a little ways in front of me. "Yeah?" I rubbed my eyes, my blurry vision coming to a halt as a very puffy faced Kayla came into view. She shifted back and forth before speaking. "I can't sleep." She covered her face with her hands. "Every time I close my eyes I see... I see him." I took her hands and kissed her knuckles. Her teary eyes locked with mine."Can you sleep with me?" I nodded quickly Following her to the bedroom. I grabbed the brassy doorknob and shut the door. Turning around to see her crawling onto the bed that was almost to high up for her. "Scootch it." I said crawling into the bed and pulling the blanket over us. Her back was facing me which meant- "I'm sorry" she said looking at the wall." "What?" "For dragging you to this party. I know you didn't want to go. And if we didn't go I'm sure we wouldn't be in this situation." I put my arm over her stomach and grabbed her hand. Tangling our fingers together I squeezed her hand and kissed her neck. "I'm glad I went with you. Even if we witnessed something extremely crazy. We'll figure it out. I promise. Okay." "Okay."
