CHAPTER - 3 :Light

The next day at school...

Ok school's over now it's time to sedu- I mean befriend light.

I was standing outside the school waiting for light.

After waiting for a while he finally came.

" Hey light wait a minute " I called out to him.

LIGHT"S POV:

" God not another confession " I said annoyed and turned to see who the girl was.

She jogged towards me and stood infront of me confident yet nervous.

She was quite pretty and I have seen a lot of pretty girls but there's something about her that makes me find her attractive.

" Hi light I don't think we have met I'm Y/N L/N " she said elegantly tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

" Well what does the smartest girl in our school want from me " I asked giving her my best smile while she just chuckled. God if she proposed I might consider.

" It's something I have been wanting to ask you for a while....but I was afraid you would reject " She said fidgeting.

She crazy? how could I reject a person like her now that I look at her she is my ideal type smart and beautiful who could want more?.

"Well... what is it ?" I asked trying not to sound too eager.

She took a deep breath.

"Do you mind helping understand a couple of concepts I missed a couple of classes due to fever and I also have some questions due you mind helping me out?" She asked looking at me with puppy eyes.

She.....what.....nevermind

" Uh....I don't mind...sure I'll...help you " I said trying to hide my disappointed but failed.

Y/N"S POV:

Wait what's that look in his face.....don't tell me he's disappointed....what did he expect me to bend on my knee and give him a red rose like every girl?

Well whatever

" Thank you so much light I'll never forget your help " I said with a bright smile.

" So where shall we go? To the library or a cafe I know a good cafe nea.."

" What about my house instead ?" Light ask cutting me off in the middle.

"Oh...sure that works too" I said with a bright smile. This is a good thing I doubt he'll just bring home any girl.....maybe he likes me? Nah that can't be it.

"Alright". He said with his signature smirk. I must admit it makes him look more attractive..*clears throat* anyway.

LIGHT"S POV:

We then started to walk to my home. I must admit she got really exited when I said we'll go to my home I can't help but feel like that was her plan or something.

Ofcourse I can't blame her girls would kill to be in her shoes but she doesn't seem like other girls she feels so mysterious.

I feel like I should keep an eye on her.

WAIT I totally forgot about the deathnote what if she finds out?. Well I'll just kill her but...... I just hope she never does cause something in me doesn't like the thought of killing her.

Maybe she could be useful I mean she is the smartest girl in school second only to me I doubt she's smarter than me.

But before that I'll have to see if I can trust her. If I could then there's a chance for her to become my goddess of the new world.

Y/N"S POV:

We didn't talk much while walking we stayed quiet most of the time but the silence wasn't awkward.

I took a glance at light. He looked lost in his thoughts and slowly his lips curled into his signature Kira smile.....yup he looked like he was about to do something sinister. Like why would he even smile like that in public?.

I still can't believe no one found that creepy smile suspicious in the original *sigh* nevermind.

We then finally reached his home and light went back to his normal self.

He open the door and yelled " I'm home " his mother was the first one to greet us.

" Welcome home light...oh and who might you be " light's mother,Mrs yagami asked in a friendly manner. But before I could say anything Sayu light's little sister " oh my god you look so beautiful....light is that your girlfriend?" Sayu asked teasingly.

Light just blushed at her comment and stood there awkwardly.

' Why is he blushing ' I thought.

" Hello Mrs yagami and light's little sister I'm Y/N L/N it's a pleasure to meet you all I hope I'm not intruding" I said politely with a small bow.

Mrs yagami gave me a sweet smile and said " Not at all dear you can think of this as your own home"

" Soooo I take it that you guys are dating " sayu said with her eyebrows wriggling at light.

" Actually no we are not dating " I said a little awkwardly.

"Yet" said sayu.

" Ok that's enough we are going to my room and don't disturb us we'll be studying" Light Said as he took me by my wrist and dragged me to his room and shut the door while Sayu screamed "study what" and light yelled " shut up " back.

We're finally in his room the legendary place where all the magic happens....well murdering in this case.

I then looked at his desk drawer ' That's where he must have kept his deathnote ' I thought to myself.

LIGHT"S POV:

'Why is she looking at my desk like that ? ' I asked myself ' it's more like she's looking at my desk drawer..... where my deathnote is..' D-does she know about it n-no n-no way that's not possible.

"So shall we start? " she suddenly asked startling me.

" Ah yes " guess she really did come here to study * sigh *

We were studying for a couple of hours and she suddenly she said " Well I guess that's enough for today " she closed her book and stood up.

"Wait your leaving?" I asked I hoped we could spend more time together I know I need to write names but I really enjoyed spending time with her.

"Uh...yes it's already late and I don't want to take up all your time " she said giving me a soft smile.

"* Sigh* Fine atleast let me walk you home " I said

" No I don't wanna tro.." before she could refuse me I cut her off " I insist " I said looking straight into her eyes she didn't back down either.

For God knows how long we stared into each other eyes as if trying to get a glimpse of eachother's soul.

" Are you guys gonna kiss or what ?" Asked a familiar voice.

"Sayu!" I screamed jeez I told her not to disturb us.

" Oops sorry to disturb your moment " She said chuckling .

"Just leave and tell mom I'm going to walk Y/N home" I said annoyed

"Ok ok " she smiled and winked. God this kid...

" Wow I can't believe we live this close to each other but never bumped into each other " I said surprised at how close we live.

'thats probably because I don't get out of my room much * nervous chuckle * '

"See you at school light" i said before he could say anything I hugged him and whispered "Thanks" in his red ears and then went inside my home.
