━━ "SO, THE INFECTION CAME FROM TONY'S LITTLE MICRO-THINGIES?" Xiomara looked up at the doctor. As Nat went on her rampage in the kitchen, she listened to Dr. Cho as she explained what happened.

"We believe so. Since the technology was introduced to you cold turkey, it caused an infection. Since your body has had time to adjust, this shouldn't happen again. The antibiotics should keep the reaction calm and contained while your cells get used to the foreign presence."

"So, I can keep the good hand if the rest of my body can handle it?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"Ok, so, that's good!" A smile pulled at the corners of her lips. "How long should it take to adjust?"

"There's no a set time. When the symptoms go away, that's how we know that you're ok. Until then, all you have to do is relax and let the medicine do its magic." Dr. Cho stated, which comforted Xiomara. As she turned to exit, she paused when her eyes fell on Nat standing in the doorway.

The woman's fists matched the color of her hair, and her knuckles were splattered with crimson blood. Her angry expression remained on her face, and it seemed like plots of murder ran around in her mind. Dr. Cho, without saying a word, side-stepped past her before speeding away. Xiomara, however, could only watch as Nat closed the door behind her and stepped into the built-in bathroom.

After rinsing her hands, the redhead sat in the chair beside her girlfriend without a word. "Who's blood is that?" Xiomara calmly inquired, her voice steady as she spoke. Nat offered no response.

"Is it yours?"

She shook her head as she looked down at her lap.

"Did you hit an agent?"

Again, Nat shook her head.

"Tony?"

"He gave you sepsis." She muttered. Xiomara offered her good hand to Nat. "Did you kill him?"

"Almost. Spears and Fury stopped me." Nat still hadn't made eye contact with her. "You know I'm not mad, right?" She let out a slight chuckle, which got her girlfriend to look at her. "I mean, Tony fucked up my bloodstream. I'd probably do the same... If I could get out of this bed."

"Wait, I thought you were gonna yell at me or something." Nat tilted her head quizzically. "I was probably gonna end up hurting him anyway, but I assumed you'd get all mad and whatnot."

"Nope. I give you my blessing." Xiomara confirmed, watching as Nat clasped her empty hand. "I mean, we both know it doesn't matter. You'd punch him anyway."

"Glad you know me so well." The Russian redhead placed a kiss on the other woman's cheek.
