the night was long as i spent the night in vee's room sleeping on her sofa instead of in the lounging area. the loud noises of nurses steps and chats along with patients groaning, snoring or crying kept me up till morning. it amazes me how vee could sleep through all these noises and still have energy for the next day. i woke up to my mom coming in the room with a trolly of medications and food.

"vee, luz wake up," my mother said as I sat up form the couch as vee did the same with her bed. my mom set vees attachable table infront of her setting down her breakfast of simple waffles and bacon.

"good morning Camilla," vee said in a cheerful mood as she rubbed her eyes.

"good morning, how was your sleep?" my mom asked as she was getting vee's pills together along with her drink.

" okay, but luz kept moving all night," she said as my mom looked over to me as i couldn't help but smile.

"sorry vee! its just sooo noisey," i told her as she laughed.

" here vee, take these before you eat, okay," my mother said before walking over to me, setting out a stand able table, or whatever you call them, then setting down some simple breakfast burritos with papas con huevos and chorizo.

" thank you mom," i told her as my mom kissed my head. "are you taking that shift at 9?" i asked as my mother nodded tiredly.

"ill be looking over two other patients along with vee, so i don't know what time ill be getting off mija. if that's okay with you," she said as she sat in the chair next to vee as vee had just taken her last pill.

" its fine, i can do most my school work online anyways," i told her as my mother gave me a smile. " also later i have work later at 3:30 so my co-worker is picking me up and taking me,"i told her as a curious look was painted on her face

" you mean the girl that dropped you off last time? what was her name?" my mom asked as vee was now interested in our conversation.

"amelia, but she said once he takes me to work that I'll be staying at her place so her sister and i can finish a project. she also said that depending on what time you get home determines whether or not she'll force me to spend the night at her house of go home,"i explained as my mom thought about what i said before smiling.

"okay, ill text you whether or not I get off later or early then, But I do want to see her and thank her before you leave, so you better get me before you leave," she said in a stern voice as i smiled.

amelia pov:

the day was long as school was the same as any other day with my mind of course thinking of the wittabane's questionable background. But luckily I was able to distract myself with the rest of the day after school with luz and amity. So instead of moping around in 7th period and messing around with Margaret my focus was on peak and I was ready for this class to be over. luckily seventh period went by fast, as the bell rang I was first to pack up my stuff and was now waiting for margaret to pack up.

"so you and Octavian down to go to the night market later tonight?" I asked Margaret as she smirked. For clarification, Night market isn't as bad as it seems... sometimes. depending on the vendor it's usually with what it is, a market place open at night just in a kind of sort of sketchy part of town. But it's fun and usually have cool stuff, not only drugs and weed though it is a good place for those looking for some. 

"why the night market? you know if you need... well you know, you can always get it from me. with a discount, " she said smiling. 

"yeah I know, but supposedly GBC is said to attend the market. the part where the upper class people are. I kind of want to see if its true," i told her as she smiled.
