It had been a week since Kirishima had been assaulted. Everyone knew by this point, it would be hard for Kirishima to return and not have someone ask about what happened. Tetsu had been expelled from University and was currently out on bail. Bakugou was enraged that such a malicious person could be allowed to walk the streets. The trial was set to take place in a few weeks though and Tetsu was looking at some serious time in prison.

"Hey, Kacchan." Deku greeted the blonde who had been sitting on a bench gathering his thoughts.

"hey," Bakugou answered quietly. Deku frowned, Bakugou hadn't been his normal self since the incident. Deku had been trying all tactics to get him out of the funk, but he was compassionate about how his friend was feeling. He couldn't fathom dealing with something like that happening to Uraraka.

"You wanna grab smoothies at the cafe? I bet Kirishima would love to come home to one this afternoon." Deku suggested. Bakugou perked up a little bit at the thought of doing something nice for his lover. Kirishima would be returning to the apartment this afternoon from home.

"Yeah, that sounds nice," Bakugou responded as he got up and began to walk with the green-haired friend who was once his sworn revival.

The two made their way to the cafe and ordered smoothies for themselves and one for Kirishima. Bakugou smiled slightly at the thought of giving it to him when he got home. But the flashback of that day quickly ruined his happy moment. He couldn't get it out of his head; his gentle boyfriend, powerless, bleeding, in shock, and on the floor. He could remember the way Kirishima felt as he held him, how light he felt picking him up, and how sick Bakugou felt when Kirishima had looked him in the eyes and told him he had been raped. The thought of another person touching Kirishima like that made Bakugou want to revolt. Suddenly, drinking his smoothie wasn't something he wanted to do. He threw it in the trash on their way back to campus.

"...Kacchan, it wasn't your fault." Deku said quietly, looking at his friend with concern. Bakugou winced at his commentary.

"I should've realized." Bakugou responded. His stomach was turning, he couldn't stop seeing Kirishima in the state he was in over and over in his head.

"He got hurt. I should've realized." Bakugou kept whispering. Deku touched his shoulder, "hey... breathe." Deku already knew the panic attack was setting in. Bakugou had been experiencing them since Kirishima left. Bakugou started shaking, still feeling sick to his stomach, not being able to shake the images. He dropped the smoothie he had for Kirishima and b-lined for the alley to get away from the bystanders on the street. Deku ran after him, dropping his smoothie in the process.

Bakugou was hyperventalating and now that he was out of the public eye, allowed himself to crumble, for the first time since it all happened. Deku didn't know what to say, he just sat next to his childhood friend with a hand on his shoulder. The sobs that broke out from Bakugou's chest were powerful, something that had been held beneath the surface for quite some time.

"You can talk to me." Deku said.

"I don't even know what to say. I'm so fucking mad. How did I let that happen? How did I not realize? How do we move forward? This is going to fuck him up so bad and theres nothing I can do to help him. I should've helped him in that moment and I couldn't. All I could do was blast the door down. And the worst part Deku?? I thought he was fucking cheating on me. That's the first shitty thought that came to me, not that he was in trouble, not that something was wrong, that he was fucking CHEATING on me." Bakugou couldn't contain his sobs, the tears rolled down his face.
