Chapter 4: News Coo and Bounties!

A/N: This is a much longer chapter, took me almost the entire day, but hope you enjoy it. I know that the reader doesn't speak much but it will change soon, she is still warming up.

It was a good day.

The blue sky was clear, with just a few clouds. The weather was just the perfect temperature, not too hot, not too cold. There was a light breeze making everything perfect.

(y/n) just stood near the railings taking everything in. She took a deep breath and smiled slightly at the peacefulness of the moment.

The first few days on board the ship was hell for our modern girl. As someone who has never traveled by boat, and had a heavy motion sickness, she spent most of the time just trying not to puke or slip, not used to the motions of the waves.

Fortunately for her, they hadn't hit any storms yet, so she was able to slowly get used to the feeling.

It made her remember the first meal with them, which was when they were partying her subscription to the crew.

Sanji's food was heaven, it almost made her moan when she took the first bite. She didn't stop praising sanji the whole night.

Luffy tried to steal (y/n) food, and she stabbed the table with her cutting knife just between his grabby fingers making everyone pause, becoming alert.

''Luffy, you are my captain now, and I respect you, but I won't let you eat my food after living on fruits and water for the past month'' (y/n) warned, face serious and voice cold. Her hands surrounded the plates in a way to protect them.

Don't mess with me when it come to food, she thought

Everyone's sweat dropped at the sight, and Luffy just laughed loudly, successfully breaking the awkward mood and apologized.

The party continued on, and she kept eating all the food Sanji put in front of her like a starved man- which she kinda was-, in a speed that almost rivaled Luffy's, and they all worried if she was even breathing properly.

Her thoughts were broken by the voice of Nami complaining about the price of the newspaper to the news coo, who looked extremely nervous being on the end of her anger.

''You raised your price again?'' Nami glared at the poor seagull, who just whimpered in response.

''Don't you think your place charges a bit much? Raise it again and i won't buy again, ok?'' even though she said that she still gave the bird the money. The seagull saluted her in response and flew away.

''What's the big deal? It's just a paper or two'' Usopp, who was sitting on the deck working on something, voiced his opinion.

''Not when you're buying it everyday!'' Nami whined.

''There is no need for you to save up money anymore. Arlong is gone so you don't need to buy your village back anymore, you know'' Usopp answered back, who is still focused on his work- wait was he pouring hot sauce on a small tomato? or was that a small ball?

''Or to be obsessive about money'' Usopp added, this time looking at the short, ginger haired girl who defensively pointed at him.

''You're so dumb! I'm going to earn money for me, now that's everything over!'' Nami scolded, making the long nosed boy jump while sweating.

''I mean, I don't wanna be be some poor pirate who can't even dress up!'' Nami jeered, turning her back to Usopp, who took a sniff of, was it tomato? ball? we may never know and maybe it's for the best because Usopp looked like he just sniffed cat puke.
