Chapter 9: Loguetown III

A/N: Hello guys again, and as always thank you for voting and commenting. The next chapter is going to be the last one in loguetown arc.

And I'm sorry to say this but it won't be updated until the next week or so. I have exams next week and I need to prepare.

Luffy was climbing the execution platform when he was found by Smoker.

''Hey, boy.'' Smoker called.

Luffy was around the middle of the high platform curling around a metal pole so as not to fall.

Yeah, he completely forgot that normal human rules don't apply to his rubber body. Idiot.

''What do you want? I'm busy right now!'' Luffy whined, wanting to be left alone.

''Are you the guy with the biggest bounty in the east blue?'' The straw hat wearer got questioned instead.

''I'm Luffy. Do you need something?''

''I'm Captain Smoker of the Navy. I'm in charge of loguetown. You're under arrest.'' Smoker was serious.

''Huh? Arrest? Forget it! I'm just about to go into Grand Line and be pirate king!'' Luffy informed, refusing to be arrested.

''King of pirates–?''

''I refuse to get arrested in a place like this!'' The raven haired teen grinned.

''Then you'll have to beat me first.'' Smoker put his hands on his hips, eyes never leaving Luffy's form.

''You don't get into the Grand Line unless you can beat me. That's the rule in this town. That's assuming you're brave enough to fight me, of course.'' The Navy Captain challenged while cracking his knuckles. (guys do you remember the days we thought that Smoker was the strongest? XD yeah good days)

''Then I'll beat you!'' Luffy took the challenge in stride.

''Go ahead and try.''

.... It wasn't a fight.

Luffy got his feets stuck in, so he spent minutes hanging down from the platform making his rubber body stretch and showing his trump card.

When he got his bearings and tried to punch Smoker with his gomu-gomu no pistol, the latter easily dodged his punch.

Jumping off, Luffy tried to get serious and used his gomu-gomu no whip, which was once again dodged, but that made it go farther and swirl around a fountain.

Physics did its thing and in the next moment the rubber man was flying through the sky, leaving Smoker and every bystander sweat drop.

Yeah, it could not be called a fight.

''What's with that boy?'' Was all Smoker could say in his shock at this absolute bullshitness.

(y/n) got her glasses and was running back to Luffy.

The glasses made her a bit dizzy since it was a while since she last wore one but she knew from experience it'll get better soon.

Stopping for a bit to get a breath, (y/n) was panting and sweating, her sides were starting to hurt from running for so long so fast and her throat was dry from breathing through her mouth.

Hands on her knees, she tried to get her bearings. Slowly breathing through her nose and slowly exhaling from her mouth.

''OOOOHH! There you are, my beloved mademoiselle!!'' Sanji's voice piqued her attention.
