The new baby didn't really change anything except, Maverick was always looking after her so it was normally just me and Goose together, which made it easier for alone time of course, but we missed Maverick.
That night we sat on the grass having a picnic.
"I genuinely think I forgot the sandwiches Hun" Goose said searching frantically in the bag "actually forget that look!" He then pulled out two ham sandwiches
"Just like magic" I said hugging him. While we ate, we stared at the stars and tried to guess the constellations, which clearly I didn't know.
"Is that one Leo?" I said
"No thats Capricorn hunny"
"Shit! I have to get this right, come on thats um Aries?"
"Yes well done!" He kissed me, all I wanted to do was stay there with him forever.
The next day was the best, we all had a mission which meant I could finally hang out with Maverick and Goose, of course that night I got to sleep in Goose's bed and Maverick was coming to the bar! Damn that was a mouthful anyway when our squadron were climbing into their planes I saw Maverick struggle a little, I guess Goose did too because he gave me a worried look,
"Hey Mav you ok?" I said fixing the radar on my plane
"Yeah yeah fine" Maverick replied accepting the hand from goose to get inside. When we started driving Maverick became normal again, so I asked him if he knew why he couldn't get in the plane
"Hey Mav?" I said in mid air next to their plane
"Yeah?"
"Why are you so tired suddenly"
"Probably because of all the father stuff, I can't even hang out with you much I mean neither can Charlie"
"Don't be leaving the kid Mav because then I will smack your face until you see-" I said stopping myself "I'm sure it'll get better." Goose laughed "great advice hunny"
I also laughed at my own words. We soon found out that this mission was only a training one and we were only practicing skills like dives and turns, so nothing interesting.
"Hey maverick that dive was so cool"
"Thanks goose it's my speciality if I do say so myself"
"I know right" Charlie's voice suddenly came from the mic
"JESUS HEAVEN ABOVE" I said in shock
"Girl calm down!" Charlie replied "also maverick don't look alarmed I just hacked the microphone system!"
"What else can you hack?" Goose said in utter shock
"You don't wanna know Goosey" charlie then flipped her hair and left the microphone chat? I don't know what to call it.
