Chapter 14

It was evening Avni was working on her laptop listening to all the updates Rohit was giving her.

"Ask them to take an appointment , I wanna meet them ." She said still typing.

"Yes boss"

"Any update of them" She asked

"No boss dont know where did they go "

"I dont care but I want them wheather dead or alive and its your responsibility that how to do it " She said staring him

"But Avni how I will...." he started but was cut off by her

"Betrayal is always betrayal no matter how small or big it is. A coward will always be a coward, no matter how much power he has."she said staring him with a sinful smile.

"He will be in your feet soon" he said smirking at her ,understanding what she mean.

"Good" saying this she dismissed him.

"I will destroy everything which you even touched Khanna" she said clenching her fist. Anger was evidient in her.

"You here" Rohit asked seeing Neil standing outside Avni's ward.

"Woh...I came to check on her" he said

"Okay" saying he was gonna leave but stopped hearing him.

"Rohit"

"Yes" he asked turning toward him.

"Umm...sorry" Neil said

"Why are you saying sorry to me" he asked him confusingly.

"For the way Avni talked to you this morning"

"You dont need to apolozise on her behalf I know her and also its a matter between boss and employee so please next time dont interfare in it" he said making him smile to see how much trustable man she had.

"Okay" Neil spoke

"Hmm" nodding his head Rohit left.

"Hit him, burn him or even kill him, I don't care, but open his mouth. I want to know the truth that it is, it doesn't matter to me how he says it." Entering inside he saw her talking on the bluetooth while typing with her left hand and shake his head unbeleivingly.

Does this girl even rest, she is always busy with her work, even though she is lying on a hospital bed and her right arm is injured, but still she is typing and giving orders to others.

"Are you a superwomen" he asked when she ended the call

"Huh!" She asked still staring at her laptop screen.

"I said are you a superwomen or what" he asked again while sitting beside her.

"I heard you before but I asked what do you mean" she said closing her laptop and upping her lashes at him.

"I am seeing you working from last 6 hours sitting at the same position. You know right ,that its impotant for you rest."he said with concern

"First I have overworked so 6 hours is nothing for me second I am a bit injured it is not that I am suffering from fatal illness that I need to rest" She said shrugging her shoulder casually.

"Getting shot is a small thing for you" he asked her staring down trying to hide his anger,making her stare him.

"You look tired I think you should be leave. I will ask Raunak to drop you home. "She said totally ignoring his question.

"I dont wanna leave" he said after few seconds.

What's he saying??

"What" she asked him

"I said I dont wanna leave" he repeated again

"Why?? You know its not safe for you stay here and also it will make you uncomfortable" she said making him more angrily

"Its not safe for me but is it safe for you Avni. " he asked her

"It doesnt matter I know how to protect myself and also its my problem that I had to stay here, thers no need for you to be here"

"Why?? Why I cant stay here with my wife. I know that you are capable to protect yourself and have power. But still as a husband its my responsibility to protect , care my wife. For me you are just my wife not a billionaraire." He said staring her deeply making her turn away her gaze.

"I need to use washroom" saying this she immediately went away from him making him feel rejected.

Why she's behaving like this??

She took a deep breath coming entering inside the washroom.

Avni control yourself.

Dont let your insecurity surface your emotions.

Neil stood outside waiting for her to come but she didnt came.

Maybe she dont want me here.

Thinking this he went outside.

Coming out of the washroom she saw her room empty.

Where did he went???

She thought when she heard a voice.

"Missing me"

"Ali you came here again" she said being irritated as she was already stuck between her emotion and Neil and here he came to irritate her more.

"Well I came here to check you"

"Okay do that and leave" she said sitting on the bed.

"Well your nerve and heart beat are just like you beautiful yet dangerous." he said while checking her.

"You know my gun is more beautiful than me, wanna meet her " she asked smile innocently at him.

"No...I mean I should leave" saying this he started to pick all gis equipments and went.

While Neil who return to her room saw them sitting together and talking so he silently left again.

Neil was standing in terrace staring at the sky which was full full of stars shining there. It looked peaceful. Glancing at his watch he saw its already midnight.

She must have slept till now.

It was already 12 but Neil didnt return to her ward Avni was still waiting for him. She already called at home to know wheather he returned or not but they told her that he didnt went there.

She was sitting lost in her thought when she heard her door opening silently.

Entering inside Neil was her sleeping facing her back toward him. Taking slow steps he toward her and covered her properly with the dulvet and stared her face few seconds but then turned to leave when he felt a hold on her wrist.

"Where were you??" She asked making him froze.
