Althea is a kind, studious and understanding girl but is naturally unlucky, when things get progressively worse for her, she wishes for life to be a bit kinder. Unfortunately for her she is given, as usual, the complete opposite when she and her friend come across an even more unlucky boy whose unexpected resurgence throws everyone for a loop.
Will her desire of luck strike her this time and help this unfortunate boy or will the combination of her misfortunates along with this boy's own dangerous faults bring them down?
Televisions switches on, nothing interesting is on during this time although New York Weekly is airing on this early morning. People rushing out of their less than spacious homes to scurry onto the public transit to try make it to work but not before grabbing their freshly printed newspaper. Nearby an influx of people near a coffee shop retrieve their own copy of the newspaper with a headline worthy of heavy exposure and exploitation for the next few days.
Ambulances arrived at 63 Bank Street...
"Must be a crazy crime committed. Not unusual of New York now these days" the well dressed man mutters. His friend, similar to him, shrugged and continued to drink his hot coffee. "we've been getting more of 'em this year"

"Sid Vicious? another kid out on the streets trying to mug people? what kind of name is Vicious?" A young man down the counter bar shakes his head. "Just sounds like bad news". Responds his roommate.

The much younger intern cleared their plate responding, "Heard they caused fights down at Texas"
"What? you watched them?". The older man looked up and raised his eyebrows.
The intern chuckled in response. "Nah one of my cousins is friends with their roadie"
dead from an apparent drug overdose...
"Huh, go figure. These punks becoming junkies" says one of the middle-aged women outside of the coffee shop.
The woman's friend nods slightly before pausing and looking up in thought. "Yeah, wait...wasn't your brother in rehab?... twice?". She turns to her in confusion earning the side eye.

A young man sighs heavily and rests his head on his hands. "Junkie and accused of murder?"
"and at that age, kid's vicious alright". The older man beside him, nudged the younger man.
"Seen that blonde hanging around the bowery once". The young man tilts his head in thought.
His older companion turns fully facing him. "and? what was she like?"
"I don't know didn't speak to 'er. Although er friend seemed to get into a pretty nasty fight, knocked out cold". He shrugs.
Vicious' mother hoped for "people to see that he was a good boy"
"Yeah right. Another parent delusional again." A woman shakes her head.
Her friend next to her frowns while reading the headline. "Probably hasn't seen her kid face to face in years"
