"Todays weather seems to be overcast as of this morning but is said the wind will pick up as well as light snow. Thunderstorms are said to take place by next week or so."

The Weather woman had announced on television in the lobby of the residence building relayed as tired students sat around reading books, studying for classes or napping. Not everyone was warm and enjoying their free time in the lobby as some students on the campus were scrambling to get to their dorms and classes in either a search for warmth or urgency.

"I can't believe this has been happening for the past two weeks" Patricia had complained as she put her coat on.

Althea sighed and nodded. "It's so cold and the weathers been picking up"

"Ugh I fucking hate snow" Patricia said through gritted teeth.

"It's not even snowing heavy but the fact it's windy made it worse" Althea gathered her stuff as she looked outside the window.

"Your telling me not to mention when you go to places like big bear you think the snows all soft and when you jump in it'll be like clouds but splat" Patricia had started on a rant about her childhood experiences in the snow.

"They said it was going to be light snow but now it's really picking up" Althea shrugged

Patricia brushed it aside and focused on their design project. "If we go at 11:00 we'll be there early to prepare for our presentation."

"But first we should go and eat we haven't eaten today" Althea reminded her as Patricia nodded immediately.

"Let's hope they have better food today
than yesterday, the chicken was dry." Althea had hoped as she remembered how the cafeteria would be slow and food hungry would be low standards.

As they stepped out in the hall they were met with a short haired brunette leaving her room as well. "Hey guys" she had greeted the two.

"Hey grace" Patricia and Althea said in unison.

"You guys going out to eat" she gestured to the door.

"Ok be careful there's ice forming on the pavement" she had warned them, pointing to the front door.

"Oh shit" Patricias eyes widened as she noticed ice on the pavement

"I thought it was going to light snow"

"Yeah thought so too but last night the temperature dropped a lot, already put a sign on the entrance after Shelley Thompson fell. Hopefully they read it" Grace pat the side of the wall at the entrance.

After saying goodbye to Grace and heading over to the cafeteria they finally got their food only to take a bite out of another dry ass chicken. When it was time to head back they walked to the residence hall where two other girls were moving a architecture project set on a cart, down the ramp.

In unbelievable timing, the cart skid over a small patch of ice flying directly over to the two girls who was in a middle of a conversation, were walking near by the stairs.

The two architecture students run to catch up to the cart only to slip on the same patch of ice that Grace had warned about.

"Ow!" One of the girls said looking up and finding that the cart had collided with Patricia and Althea

Patricia landed in a sitting position while Althea had landed on her back.

"Oh my god, Althea" Patricia scrambled to get to her friend as she groaned in pain and that was the last thing Althea heard and saw.
