forgotten pt. 2 - mark

hi ! im sorry if this took soooo long to publish, i just forgot that its a 2 part thing :(( but hey, here it is! i hope u guys enjoy it :D

"is he okay now?" you asked over the phone, johnny on the other line.

you hear johnny sigh, "y/n, just come here and find out yourself. it's been a week, he might remember you now."

you closed your eyes, tears threatening to flow. hearing johnny say that your boyfriend 'might' remember you just reminds you that he forgot you.

"you heard the doctors say that stress just makes the matters worse, and you saw how mark reacted to me. i'm..--" you took a deep breath, "--really bad for him."

"he's laughing now. i'm sure he's okay and healthy, we're just waiting for the doctor's heads up to discharge him."

you smiled. atleast he seem fine now. thank god.

"that's great news. is he eating normally now? don't give him that peanut butter jelly sandwich from the hospital, he's allergic to peanuts." you reminded johnny.

"yeah, yeah.. actually jiyeong told us." that's when your body froze. she's.. there?

"she's still there, huh?" you tried not to sound irritated but the way your tone changes, says otherwise.

"she's.. she's been here the whole week. i can tell she's enjoying this, y/n. i can't really say anything since mark.. mark really likes her being here. but y/n--" before johnny even finishes, you cut him off.

"actually i-- i have to go. thanks, johnny." you said quickly, before ending the call. almost immediately your tears started to flow as you hug your pillow.

you know its for the best, jiyeong being on his side. he's in vulnerable state right now and what's important is his well being. so if his ex is what he needs, then so be it. it may seem unfair for you, but that's just how it is.

however, it still fucking hurts. seeing him being so disgusted with you, looking at you like a stranger, completely forgot about the years you two had spent together. it shatters you to pieces but again, its not like he wanted to do that.

the best way to handle this situation is to be mature and understand that everything does not have to on your favor. you love mark so much, and you'll do everything to save him. even if it means losing you.

the next day, you woke up, immediately checking on jaehyun if there's any progress with mark's condition.

"do you wanna facetime?" jaehyun asks.

"sure. but don't tell mark, okay? just.. point the camera to him. i just want to see him." you played with your engagement ring as you nervously waits for jaehyun to open the camera.

"sure but jiyeon's with him.. are you sure about this?"

"yes. i'm not even gonna look at her. i just want to see my fianceé, jae." you said, almost spitting the words out as you spoke.

"okay, chill out. here." finally, the camera opens and the first thing you see, broke your heart.

jiyeon, feeding mark who's sitting up on his hospital bed, laughing about something you don't quite understand.

"he seems okay." you whispered, biting your lips after, as an attempt to stop your voice from trembling.

"he is. johnny's processing his papers and by tomorrow we're out of here. you should come and see him, y/n, your man needs you." jaehyun said with the same tone as johnny yesterday.
