782 words.

seeing him standing there, at the altar, makes everything you've ever dreamed of come true. it felt like heaven, the sight of him waiting at the end of the isle.

his white fitted tux that hugged his figure perfectly, with slight touches of black at the collar, and his perfectly combed hair. his eyes glisten as he stood there, obviously nervous about the whole ceremony.

you looked around, seeing the entire garden covered with pink roses and daisies, exactly what you've imagined back when you two were highschool lovers.

the promises you made, and the idea of the future that you two imagined, is now in front of you. everything you two ever wanted.

*ten years ago*

"baby, break's almost over. we gotta go back to class." you slapped his bunny cheeks slightly, trying to get his attention.

"can we just skip it? history sucks anyways." he mumbled with his eyes still closed, no signs of standing up. he was laying on your lap as you sat in the ground of the roof top you two snuck into.

"we have a quiz." you said sternly.

"for like what? five points? come on baby let's just rest here.." he said, smirking.

you rolled your eyes and sighed, "get up. mr. choi will notice right away that we're not the--"

"i think i'm gonna marry you."

you froze, hearing what your boyfriend just said.

"what now?" you asked, confused looking down at him.

slowly, he opened his eyes, gazing straight at you. "i said, i want to spend forever with you."

you don't know exactly what to feel, all of this being so sudden. yet one thing's for sure, you know you're overwhelemd.

"doie, babe, we're literally seventeen." you slightly chuckled as you caressed his hair.

"yet i'm sure that you'll be the one for me. aren't you?" he sounded like a baby with his last words, as he looked at you with his doe eyes.

slowly, a smile crept on your face. "i want a garden wedding, then." you chuckled, playing along.

"i want a beach wedding, tho." he said, as he closed his eyes, imagining his dream wedding.

"the wife gets to decide. garden." you said.

"you're right. my wife wants garden wedding, we shall have a garden wedding." he said, smiling through his words. you can feel the sincerity with the every word that came out of his mouth.

just then, you slowly imagined your life. it would be nice spending eternity with this man. it's wouldn't be rainbow and butterflies everyday, but being with him just feels... perfectly fine.

"you'd be wearing a white dress." he mumbled again.

"of course. what dress do you want me to wear, hubby?" you had a slight joking tone.

"everything fits you perfectly. you'll look beautiful with everything. so it doesn't really matter."

you blushed, looking upwards to avoid him catching you flustered.

"even if i don't wear anything at all?"

"now, we gotta save that for honeymoon, babe. don't be too excited now." doyoung stated with a slight touch of teasing.

you jokingly hit his arms. "pervert?"

"you're the one who wants to walk naked at the altar."

"i was just proving a point !" you defensively stated.

"anyways. your parents are in the first row, your mom would most definitely bawling. my dad would secretly cry too, for sure. hyung too, i know he'd be crying but would try his best not to. tsh." doyoung, explaining every detail which automatically translates onto your imagination, seeing everything in front of you.

that just filled your heart with emotions, imagining everything.

"we'll say our vows to each other, and then i'll lift your veil, see your beautiful face, hope you'd be crying aswell, and kiss your lips as a seal of ownership. you'd be mine, and i'll be yours, forever and always."

it took you a couple of seconds before reacting to what he just said, feeling overwhelmed.

"i love you so much, doie." that was the only thing that left your mouth that day, doyoung responding with "i love you more, y/n."

and now, seeing the flowers scattered all over the garden, the arch that is beautifully decorated above where doyoung is standing, the pink roses that complimented the daisies.

again, everything you've ever wanted.

except you were at the back, witnessing the ceremony you once thought was yours.

doyoung is marrying your best friend. you two did not end up with each other. all of those promises were made by two kids, hopelessly inlove with each other at that time.

yet you still remember how he promised you this exact moment.. not thinking he'd also make that exact promise for somebody else.
