The walk was long and tiring. Mrs. Arbuckle lived the second closest to Kitty HQ, which wasn't too far from Garfield and friends. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a pain to walk to.

"Y'know.." said Squeak "I'm really beginning to think Almren might be the bad guy here. He really has John locked up? Just for cooking a meal?"

"Yes," replied Garfield. "He's been doing this for years, just in secret. Jon was the only person smart (Or maybe dumb) enough to make a ruckus of it."

"Wow.." Speak squeaked.

After about 15 minutes of walking, they made it. They walked through the farmhouse grass and gathered at the door. Knock, knock.
...
Mrs. Arbuckle opened the door.

"My, quite the party! Two cats, a mouse, and a dog. If you're here to see Doc, he's out in town at the moment."

"They got Jon." Garfield said in his mundane tone.

"What." Mrs. Arbuckle froze up.

"Yeah." Arlene chimed in. "He was just trying to cook Garfield a birthday dinner, and Almren sent his robots in. Now he's locked up."

"You must be joking," Mrs. Arbuckle denied. "I raised my Jon better than to break the law. Back in high school, Jon was so well behaved. He passed all of his classes and went to church every Sunday. He gave the teacher an apple every day, and always did his chores. Why even Doc was a little jealous his brother could be such a good samaritan. And you know Doc is sweeter than a cherry jubilee."

"That's very nice Mrs. Arbuckle, but we don't have time to debate Jon's morals right now. He's being held in the Kitty HQ, and Almren has plans for him. If we want Jon back, we'll have to get him out of there. You have animals on this farm, right? Y'know Liz? She sent us here to get you. We need your help to rescue Jon." Arlene explained.

"Liz is a very clever woman, but this situation seems fishy to me." Mrs. Arbuckle shook her head.

"Come with us." Garfield said "You can see for yourself."

"Yip bow wow." Odie whined.

"Well.. Okay." Mrs. Arbuckle said hesitantly. "But if my son isn't really there, you boys aren't getting any gifts from me on Christmas!"
