TWO DAYS LATER
Avengers Compound, New York

"Okay, here we go," Bruce told them pressing a few buttons on the computer set he'd put up. Several monitors, special keyboards, and other things Rose didn't fully understand. "Time travel test number one. Scott, fire up the uh... the van thing."

Scott in his Ant-Man suit opened the back of the van they'd parked inside the building. Orange and Blue colours made a wormhole inside the car.

"Breakers are set, emergency generators are on standby," Steve informed Bruce coming back from checking the items.

"Good. 'Cause if we blow the grid, I don't wanna lose Tiny here in the 1950s," he grumbled lowering his voice a little but it was still audible.

"Excuse me?" Scott uttered panicked as the other trio stared at Bruce equally.

"He's kidding," Nat called to Scott. In a hushed tone, she said, "You can't say things like that."

"Just..." he stammered. "It was a bad joke," Bruce mentioned nervously.

Nat, Steve, Rose and Bruce who stood by the monitors glanced at Scott, now oblivious, as he got ready.

"You were kidding, right?" Nat asked uneasily.

"I have no idea," Bruce lowered down. "We're talking about time travel here. Either it's all a joke, or none of it is." He straightened and sent a thumbs up to Scott. "We're good!" Steve and Rose shared an unconvinced stare. "Get your helmet on, Scott. I'm gonna send you back a week, let you walk around for an hour, then bring you back in 10 seconds. Makes sense?"

Putting on his helmet, Scott shook his hand. "Perfectly not confusing."

"Good luck, Scott. You got this," Steve told him.

"You're right," Scott said confidently. "I do, Captain America."

Bruce pressed a button and Scott got sucked into the tunnel. Rose took a deep breath.

Not it, not it, not it.

Something was coming. There was something missing.

"On the count of three. 3.." all of them became tense, "2..." expectant, "1!"

Bruce pressed a button and a teenage boy came back in the Ant-Man suit that was now baggy. Everyone visibly paled looking at the kid aghast.

"Uh, guys? This...this doesn't feel right."

"What is this?" Steve let out inaudible as he stood behind the monitors.

"What's going on?" Bruce muttered confused.

"Bruce?" said Rose slowly concerned.

Tony.

"That...who is that?" Nat asked bewildered.
