CONFUSION.

I sat on my couch in one of my infamous baggy hoodies and a pair of denim shorts, my feet clad in socks and my hair up in the messiest bun the world had seen.

It was almost November. It may or may not have been Halloween but I didn't really care. It had been at least a month since I had heard from him. I didn't want to care anymore but there was still this persistent hope that stayed in my heart, waiting for anything concerning him.

I painted and handled purchase negotiations like nothing had happened and tried to resume the cycle of my life. For a moment, I realised that my life began to revolve around him and now it was like a big part of my life was ripped away from me.

I tried everything to forget him, I even went back to South Korea and met up with Bae again. We were now like long time besties. I explained to him everything that was going on and he completely understood. We even went clubbing a couple of times, had a lot of meals together and literally had fun like teenagers but I still couldn't forget him entirely. Thus why I came back a few days ago.

I stood up and stretched when the movie ended and went to the kitchen to find something to eat but there came a knock on my door. My heart jumped into my throat and I speedily walked to the door and yanked it open only to reveal my neighbor. I inwardly pouted but quickly put a smile on my face.

"Hi, what can I do for you?" I asked and she handed me an envelope. I stared her face to find her looking at the envelope guiltily.

"Umm, well about a few weeks back, this came into my mail by mistake but when I came to give it to you, you weren't around so I thought to wait and give it to you when you came back." She said and I took the envelope and nodded.

"Don't worry about it. Thanks." I said and she nodded back, waving and going back to her apartment. I frowned a little, looking at the envelope and closed the door before opening it. I unfolded the paper and read what looked to be a letter but what left me in tears was that, this was sent from him. Louis.

Love,

Please don't hate me. I didn't mean to just disappear. I will explain everything to you but I need you to be patient. Everything happened so fast that I didn't get the chance to tell you anything but I will soon. I'm sorry and I love you. My past seems to have caught up to me and I'm stuck in all the whirlpools of it. I can't bring you into the middle of it so to protect you, I had to leave for some time.

I'll be back real soon love. Don't hate me love.

Louis.

I now sat on the floor by the door, sobbing. What the fuck is he going through? I checked the envelope for a sender's address but there was none. Nothing at all to link and try to find him. Where was he? I was inwardly happy that he was still alive but he could be in some sort of danger which scared me more than anything. Quickly I called Mark and asked him to meet me for coffee. He was probably at work and would meet me during his lunch break.

Later that day, I met up with Mark and explained the whole thing and showed him the letter.

"Yeah this is definitely him, the handwriting says it all." He confirms and I slouch in my seat.

"Has he ever told you anything about his past?" I asked and Mark shook his head.

"We met at work about three years ago when I was new and he showed me around the place then we became friends but he's never really told me anything about his family except that his mom died a couple years back." Mark said, placing the letter on the table and leaned back in his seat with a sigh.

We were both quite clueless right now about what to do. Louis was now somewhere in the world but we needed to what was going on and if he was safe.

I ended up going back to my apartment, depressed and worried to the core. I couldn't even lift a paintbrush without crying. I just sat on my couch, watching reruns of Drake and Josh, trying to distract myself but it wasn't working.
