My eyes flutter open and my sight is slightly blurred, so I shut them. An arm is laying across my torso, pinning me to the bed as I lay on my back. I bring my hand to my eyes and wipe them before letting them open again. My vision is clear now as the ceiling fan comes to view. Sunlight is shinning through cracks of the curtains as Theo tightens his grip around me, pulling me towards his warm mass, fitting like a puzzle piece as he nuzzles into my neck.
"Good morning." Theo says, his voice deep and groggy.
"Good morning." I reply, letting my eyes close as I take in his embrace.
"Should I make coffee?" He asks, breaking the silence once more.
"That would be nice." My hand rest on his arm, caressing his skin. "What can I do to help?"
"Just stand there and look pretty." Theo tells me. I can't help but to chuckle, my eyes opening as I do.
"I'll try." I look over to Theo and see his face inches from mine, eyes still closed as he smiles softly. My hues scan over his features before his eyes open.
"Two sugars?" He asks as I look away, a soft smile on my lips.
"Yes please." I say.
Theo lets out a light chuckle before removing his arm from its position, now freeing me from my restraints. I watch as he moves the covers and stands, grabbing his shorts from the floor below him. He slides them on and turns to me, leaning against the bed to hover above me. I watch as Theo places his hand against my cheek, the warmth radiating from his palm. Our lips connect before I could even realize, the kiss even quicker.
"I'll be back." Theo says before standing up straight and walking around the bed and out of the room, leaving me in solitude in his bedroom. I take in a breath as Theo's footsteps fade, the covers warm against my skin as I lay there.
The events of last night play in my head as I close my eyes. From Theo and I leaving my home, to the short stop for snacks before driving to his house. The time short as we put on a movie and indulged in it, and one another. My memory ends there before everything is black and I wake up in Theo's bed beside him. A pleasant way to end a good day.
A sigh leaves my lips as I remove the covers and look down seeing a black band t-shirt draped over my body, smiling softly as I notice it is Theo's. I sit up and let my legs hang off the bed before letting my feet hit the cold hardwood flooring, walking over to the bathroom. With the door a jar I step in and close the door behind me, doing as nature calls before exiting both rooms. I make my way down the stairs and into the kitchen, the strong smell of brewed coffee in the air as I see Theo's bare back to me. His shoulder blades protrude out of his skin as his muscles tense.
I walk over and step beside him, observing Theo's activities. He is pouring a dark liquid, one mug already filled as the contents barely breach the rim of the glass.
"There you are." Theo says as he is sits the coffee pot back in its position under the coffee machine. "And here you go." Without missing a beat he picks up one of the mugs and holds it out to me, and I take it from him as the steam rises.
"Oh, thank you." I offer a soft smile before blowing lightly on the hot liquid, a lame attempt to cool it down.
"You're welcome. We should probably be getting ready to meet the group soon." He tells me.
"What time is it?" I ask.
"Just after eleven." He replies.
I take a small sip of my coffee and it rushes down my throat, stinging a bit as it goes. "I gotta go shower and change."
