"Please? Just around the campus." I said and kissed him.
"Babe.." He said and sighed as I looked up at him. "Fine. The first sign I see of you slowing down, we stop. Got it?"
"Okay." I said and smiled.
"You always have to guilt me into do this, don't you?" He asked as he tied his shoes.
"What you mean?" I asked as I put in my earphones.
"I know if I say no, you'll go later by yourself and something could happen and if I say yes, something could happen. At least I can get you help immediately." He explained and put in his earphones.
"Next time we'll just go to the gym." I said and smiled before leading the way out.
"No. You don't need to be working out so much." He told me.
"Ready?" I asked, ignoring what he said.
"Yeah." He said.
Once we started running, I felt okay but by the time we were halfway around, I could feel myself slowing down. I felt Shad grab me.
"Let's sit." He said and helped me over to a bench. "Take deep breaths." He said as he checked my pulse.
"Im... I'm fine." I said, trying to gain control of my breathing.
"You're not, your pulse is racing. Here." He said and took a water out of the bag he brought with him.
I sighed as I drunk the water and looked down at my shoes. I felt defeated. I can't even make it around campus anymore. I guess my career is really over.
"Come on. Let's head back." He said and stood up before putting back on his backpack.
"I can't." I told him.
"Babe I know you wanted to make-"
"No. I can't.. I can't feel my legs." I said as I tried to keep myself calm.
"What? At all?" He asked as he rubbed my legs. "You feel that?" He asked as he pinched my leg.
"No." I said as I looked at him.
"Okay. Put this on." He said and helped me put on the backpack before picking me up.
"I'm sorry." I said as he moved me so that I could be on his back.
"For what?" He asked as he started walking back to his dorm.
"For making you do this." I said softly.
"I agreed to do this. I'm glad I did because there's no telling what would of happened if I wasn't with you. Don't be sorry." He told me.
"Okay." I said and rested my chin on his shoulder.
I didn't realize I fell asleep until I felt something cold touch my leg. I opened my eyes to see Shad wiping me down with a cold towel.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, I think so." I said.
"You sure? You're really hot right now and I'm scared something is wrong." He said and wiped my face.
"Let me take a shower and see how I feel." I said.
"Okay." He said and helped me up. "You good?"
"Yeah." I said.
After my shower, I didn't feel much different. I felt a little lightheaded. Isaiah kept insisting I go to the hospital but I don't want to. I think I just need to relax.
