'That's why I still get jealous' I sang, hanging my left arm outside my window. I turned the radio up as I came to a red light. 'What are you wearing tonight?' Beth asked me. 'Uh I have no idea to be honest' I said. 'I kinda feel like I have expectations now' I said and she smirked. 'Comes with the transformation' She said. 'Justin usually leaves his entire house open, so you'll never really get hot and sweaty' She said.
'I'll see when we get home' I said. 'Ha, Cat just texted me apologizing for yesterday. She said she texted Johnny and Justin too, but it's only because she wants to still be welcome at Justin's tonight' She said. 'I can't stand her, I know I shouldn't have pushed her, but if I didn't I would've strangled her instead' I said. 'Just avoid her at all costs tonight and you should be fine' She said as I played with my sunglasses.
'You think he'll still let her come' I asked. 'Oh for sure, the guys never stay mad at Cat for long' She said. 'Oh' I mumbled. Five minutes later, we pulled into our driveway. Kent and Justin's cars were parked on the street, and I couldn't help but smile a little. I locked my car and walked up to the front door alongside Beth. She was furiously texting someone, who I assumed was Cat, so I walked ahead of her. Lifting my sunglasses onto my head as I entered the house, I didn't hear much of anything. They were probably in the basement or Johnny's room. 'Con, Dad, Mom' I yelled. taking a breath between each.
'In here Chan' I heard my mom say, so I followed her voice. 'What are you doing?' I asked her, she was still in yoga pants and a sweatshirt, and it was 4:30. 'I thought you were working today' I said. 'Decided to work from home, I have this nasty headache' She said as she poured herself water. 'Alex and Connor went out to the field to practice because your dad got home early from work' She said. 'Hi mom' We heard from Beth and she smiled. 'Hi sweetheart' She replied. 'Alright, I'll be upstairs' I said before I left her office.
'Help me find something' I said to Beth as she walked upstairs, eyes still glued to her phone. 'Ok, I need to pee first' She said and I jogged my way up the steps. Entering my room, I slid my sandals off and then climbed into my bed. 'Andy's getting ready here' Beth said as she walked into my room, 'Ok' I said, laying down. 'So shorts, leggings, jeans, a dress what are you in the mood for?' She asked and I shrugged. 'Surprise me' I said. She started rummaging through my drawers, and ended up pulling out five different jean shorts for me. 'Ok, shirt. Long sleeve, short sleeve, thin straps, or strapless?' She asked. 'Uh, thin strap?' I asked her. 'Tight, loose?' She asked. 'I don't know Beth, just choose something for me please' I said, letting out a breath.
'Fine' She said. 'When's Andy coming?' I asked her. 'When we get back from practice' She said and I nodded. 'Chan' I heard a voice say. 'In here dad' I said, hearing his footsteps approach my room. 'Hey, what are your plans tonight?' He asked. 'Uh a party' I said and he raised an eyebrow. 'What about Johnny and Beth?' He asked. 'We're going too' Beth said as she walked out of my closet. 'Oh alright, well you're mom isn't feeling very well. So, we'll be here for the night' He said. 'What's Con doing?' I asked him. 'He'll be here too' He said. 'Ok' I said.
'Alright, I'll be downstairs girls' He said before he left my room.
'Ok this' She said before she placed the outfit on my bed. 'Wait, I really like that' I said and she smiled. 'Thank you' She said proudly. 'Alright, I need to add some notes to the project. We'll leave at 5:30' She said. I was extremely thirsty, making me sit up. 'I'll be downstairs' I said as I slid off my bed. She gave me a thumbs up as she walked ahead of me and to her room. Heading downstairs, I aimed for the kitchen.
'She's not coming' I heard someone say. 'Why do you care so much anyway?' Another guy asked. 'Because she's unnecessary' He said. As I walked into the kitchen, Johnny looked up from his phone. He was sitting across from Justin and Kent. 'Hi' I said, earning nods from each of them. 'She's not coming' Johnny continued. 'Is this Sarah?' I asked jokingly. 'Actually yes' Justin said. 'Oh' I said, opening the fridge to get the pitcher of water.
