'Do you want anything else?' My mom asked Johnny. 'No, thanks mom' He mumbled before putting his headphones back in and blocking us out. He was getting 'mentally ready' or so he called it for the Woodland game. He wasn't even distracted by my bag of Sour Patch Kids, so that's how I knew how serious this was to him.
I could have figured it out by the fact that Justin didn't smile once today. He kissed me and all that, but there was no lip biting or ass grabbing. He was only thinking about one thing, and even though it wasn't me, I was completely and utterly turned on by his ability to focus.
Which, sort of made me nervous. I was nervous because Justin and I had only talked about sex once, and it was about not having it. But I felt like we were at a good place in our relationship, and it wasn't like I was scared to have it. I just didn't want to be compared to anyone else, especially Cat. It felt like we had grown out of that, whether Cat had or not.
It was weird to think about, but for some reason my gut was telling me it was gonna happen extremely soon. It'd had been strange how I was sexually frustrated more frequently and I was starting to yearn for Justin's attention. Maybe it was Greece? All the attention he had given me then. Or, Beth's idea to focus on my relationship more had made me more attentive to how attractive Justin was. I started paying more attention to everything that made him, him.
The guys still had some time until they had to leave for their game, so I thought I'd surprise Justin quickly before before cheer. 'Alright I'll see you at the game Johnny' I said. He nodded before I grabbed my keys and left the house. It only took ten minutes to get to Justin's house, and Pattie had made it seem crucial that I park in the driveway whenever I came over.
As I walked up the stone path, the door swung open revealing Pattie and her four dogs. 'Hey' I said with a smile. 'Chandler, hi' She said. 'How are you?' I asked. 'Great, about to take these guys out for a walk before the game' She said. 'Oh I bet, are you going for a walk Jack?' I cooed as him and Spencer greeted me. 'You look beautiful as always' She said. 'You're too nice' I said. 'It's true. I assume you're here to see Justin' She said. 'Yeah, I just wanted to wish him luck before the game' I said. 'That's so sweet. He's been a little uptight all day so he took a quick shower to relax, but he should still be in his room' She said. 'Ok, thanks' I said. She dragged the four dogs away before I continued into her house.
I could never get used to how big this place was. I made my way through the foyer and up the stairs towards Justin's room. I heard music blasting throughout the hall, and I knew it could only be coming from him. Knocking on the door, the music went down a little. 'Come in' He said, his voice made me weak almost immediately. I pushed the door open to see him getting into uniform minus his pads. He pulled a windbreaker over his head before turning to see me. 'Hey' I said. He then grabbed a miniature remote to turn the music off completely.
'I wasn't expecting you' He said. 'I know' I said. He bit his lip before he slid his shoes on and grabbed his phone. 'I just wanted to see you before the game, you haven't been very talkative today' I said. 'Yeah, I'm sorry about that' He said. 'No, you're focused. It's actually quite sexy' I said, making him look up. He sent a quick text before he looked up at me. 'Sorry, I needed to make sure someone still needed me to pick him up' He said. 'It's fine, I should've said I was coming anyway- 'No no no, I'm glad you're here.' He said.
He came towards me, pulling my body into him. He engulfed me instantly and I suddenly felt like he wasn't just thinking about the game. 'I'm sorry, I've been an asshole today. I wanna win, but I don't have to ignore you to do that' He said. I looked up at him as he said all the things I wanted to hear. His fingers rubbed against my exposed skin and I smiled as he rubbed his nose against the tip of mine. 'I don't like distant you' I said. 'I know. It's just Woodland, and Brad' He said. 'Well, I'll cheer for you and only you. Well maybe the rest of the team, but you know what I mean' I said.
