6. 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘸

rhiannon and eddie had both finished their four beers each and were significantly drunk, rhiannon more than eddie. drunk rhiannon was giggly and couldn't take anything seriously. drunk eddie was exactly the same. they were a mess, to say the least.

"let's play spin the bottle." eddie suggested.

"it's just us, dumbass."

"i know." a smirk spread across eddie's face and rhiannon burst out laughing again.

"ok, fine. truth or dare?" eddie began spinning his empty bottle absent-mindedly on the floor.

"ok, hmm... truth."

"who was your first crush?" rhiannon thought about it and then went bright red as she came to an answer.

she pursed her lips and hid her face in her hands.

"c'mon, tell me, you can't omit the truth, that's not how this game works. you gotta play by the rules, baby."

"oscar maybank." she mumbled as quietly as possible.

"i didn't quite catch that, princess, come again?"

"oscar maybank." she repeated a fraction louder.

"i'm sorry, are my ears deceiving me, you liked oscar maybank? before or after he pissed himself in 6th grade?"

they both stared at each other for a moment before bursting into hysterical laughter, rocking back and forth in their sitting positions on the floor. rhiannon snorted so bad that snot shot out of her nose, causing her to laugh even harder.

the pair of drunks eventually quietened down, wiping tears of laughter from their eyes.
"i'm so drunk right now, there's no way i'll remember this tomorrow morning." rhiannon said.

a plan started to formulate in eddie's mind.

he rooted around in one of the plastic carrier bags until he found the tubs of semi-melted rocky road and strawberry ice cream. he pulled out two spoons and sat across from rhiannon with the tub in his hand, crossing his legs.
"we should probably eat this ice cream before it completely liquefies, just saying." he ripped the lid off and dug in. rhiannon took the other spoon that he extended out to her and began scooping it up on her spoon too.

they sat and ate in peaceful silence for a while until eddie was picking with his spoon at a chunk of ice cream that was still frozen. when he finally lodged it free, it flew out of the tub and landed with a splat on the girl's shirt. she gasped as the cold ice cream slid down her front, melting as it went.
