After packing his things, he headed towards the city, but now that he knew where he was, the things around him became much more terrifying, because Felarya is made to kill anything small or just humans, and well, unfortunately he was of that species, which made things difficult. So with each step, with each meter traveled towards the city in the middle of that dense forest, Richard's heart was beating faster and stronger, adrenaline was taking over his body and any click or noise without its own nature, he with I would certainly run away without looking back, but I had to keep going, always looking around and when I felt hungry, I ate only the fruits that I knew wouldn't hurt and when I didn't have it, I ate leaves.

Walking a long way, he found a dirt road that led to one of the gates of that great city, and how did he know? Well, as already mentioned, the walls were big, but from a human perspective, they were even bigger, they easily exceeded 200 meters in height, and for a wall as robust as that, it's hard to imagine such a wonder in your world, but in the world it is, it would not be an exaggeration to build walls of that size.

Continuing his way along the road, the closer he got, the more he noticed that the wall had a gigantic gate - and several smaller, smaller gates, as if to pass some kind of races or giants, which indicated that it was not used much - and four gigantic guns with their barrels sticking out of the wall, probably each barrel was at least 50 meters long (with a larger caliber than warships, which is around 400mm, that is, the diameter of each barrel was greater than 40 centimeters). These weapons had a similar appearance to the weapons of warships, but it was not possible to see in detail because it was very far from the wall, but it probably had a firepower greater than any weapon in his world. City folks are no joke when it comes to protection. He continued walking with faster and faster steps, the wall was there, imposingly protective and it was only a matter of meters before he reached it. But then... When he was about 100 meters from the gate a big bang behind Richard happened and when he looked back... He saw a gigantic naga that was running after some prey, saw him and stopped out of nowhere and now Richard was the prey. He was on a road, with no obstacles, no exit, a perfect place for a naga snack and when he saw her more precisely, his eyes almost bugged out seeing her looking at him so that she found the perfect food.

She was licking herself all over, with a face of "exaggerated joy" and he certainly wouldn't stay there to find out, so he just turned her face away, dropped his bag of leaves and just ran. When his legs started to move, he seemed to get a super boost, his mind forgot about the dryness of his eyes from the wind blowing in them and simply focused on escaping from that situation, his heart accelerated with tremendous speed and he felt that if he stopped, he would die; the amount of adrenaline pumped into his body was too far gone, but he couldn't let himself die, not like that... and his whole life flashed through his eyes. Family, friends, life goals, experiences... EVERYTHING was in front of his eyes (which must have taken a few milliseconds) and when he regained consciousness he knew he couldn't die in that place, so he started to spend energy according to the adrenaline that was pumped into his body, he had to run more than his legs could handle, more than his lungs could handle oxygen, more than the fatigue allowed him to run, with each step he faced his fatigue with the will to live and each stride, he could hear the loud noises caused by the naga's gigantic hands, breaking the ground so that she could move faster and the trees being thrown, some hitting the wall itself, while Richard screamed in terror to the guards who were on a kind of dock. from the wall. As Richard screamed in terror to open the gate, the guards entered the wall.

At that moment all the hope in Richard's soul was gone, but his legs kept running, the lack of hope didn't destroy the will to continue, then a loud voice from someone speaking over what sounded like a loudspeaker:

- "Keep running boy!! This despicable naga won't hurt you"At that moment, the weapons pointed towards the naga and Richard increased his speed more and more, running more than the size of his own leg, it was all there behind that gate: safety, new life, hope, understanding, continuation. It was all so close and when she looked back for a few seconds, the naga saw the weapons heading towards her and glared at Richard, as if she was making a last-ditch effort to catch him. When he was 15 meters from the gate.... The naga jumped in front of Richard, his eyes filled with his gigantic body. From Richard's point of view, she could have easily been 15 meters tall (not counting the tip of her tail, it was about her torso and a bit of snake-like body that protruded from ground level) and he realized that this was the end... He tried to run in the opposite direction but she was faster, catching him hard, thinking that she would kill him crushed in her hands, going into complete panic, what he had left was only the light going out.

"Am I going to die like this? So easy? But I fought to live... Why did I have to end like this? I want to live... because there's no one to save me now...? I wish... to have lived longer... struggled more... Sorry family, sorry my friends... seems like this is my finish line. Sorry everyone" and as she squeezed him with her hands and brought him to her mouth, he could only imagine what it must be like after death, seeing death there in front of him - the naga's breath of rotten things, probably from other humans she'd swallowed - and it was no use fighting, trying to bite her huge finger was no use beyond make her more irritated... Richard then feels his body light, free with the wind blowing from below, a peace... of Death. She dropped him over her mouth and as he fell, everything was in slow motion, he saw the naga's hand dropping him, the sun on his left side, his tongue preparing to receive the body and knew he wouldn't pass. from there, feeling the terror of death that was so intense that he had the impression of his soul leaving his body, as if everything good had abandoned him in that moment of horror.

Then his body finally falls into her mouth, it was a horrible, sticky, gooey, pitch-black place; -the only source of light came from the spaces of her teeth- her tongue kept rubbing against him trying her best to stay away from his teeth. It was then that he felt that she was about to swallow him whole...
