Then when all hope was fading from his body with no chance of a fight, he saw the light slowly disappearing from his eyes and his spirit... Two great explosions are heard, but Richard had already accepted his fate and embraced death, but that would not be his time. Feeling a slight impact as he stopped in the middle of the way, nothing else was moving, throat, tongue, heart, nothing else was making noise, a deadly silence was created in that wet and dark place.
Richard took a while to fight back to get out of there -regain hope- thinking that even the heart has stopped, so maybe it was his chance to escape, so he slipped between that disgusting place and with a horrible smell, got in her teeth ( being careful not to get caught between his teeth and be torn apart) and hooked his hands to open a little, then put his right foot on top of her teeth so he could use more force to open her mouth and when he did, he quickly jumped out. so as not to lose a leg or an arm, because that jaw was very heavy.
He jumped, falling straight to the ground, all his body muscles deactivated - thinking it was due to the bad landing, falling even on his face - and he was still conscious, not even moving his mouth properly. In his last moments with his eyes open, two silhouettes approach him and say shouting to the other side: - "He's alive!! Carry him inside the walls now!" and from that point on, he simply passed out from exhaustion.
When he woke up, he had a big headache, he couldn't move properly because every attempt to move even a toe, his whole leg was in tremendous pain and they were bandaged. His vision was still kind of blurry and he tried to get up but the pain was so bad that couldn't even move his neck right, when he hears a female voice saying:
- "Hey runner! Calm down, don't move for now, you need to rest."
- "But who are you? Where am I? What's going on?" He spoke confused and with a very blurry vision.
(some laughter) - "You're really hyperactive even when you can't even move heh! Calm down, I'll explain it to you right away, I'll just finish this remedy with herbs and a pinch of healing magic so that I can at least take this terrible headache of yours"
Afraid and nervous for not being able to move and being adrift in an environment he didn't know and still having his body very hurt. She gave the medicine it tasted really sweet and a few minutes later his headache improvement was almost instantaneous, so he said:
Richard: - "ahm.. Well... Thank you so much for your hospitality and for this damn good medicine, but... what's going on?"
The girl: - "Well.. Where do I start? The guards who brought you told me that you ran faster than the fastest horse they've ever seen, you survived being devoured by a naga inexperienced in hunting and when you got here , your legs were bleeding, but you didn't have any cuts or punctures, so I found that you put so much effort with them to get away from that naga, that you went beyond the natural limit delimited by the brain and well, you literally tore practically all the ligaments of the muscles of your legs, but your arms are in better shape. You really put too much pressure on the extremities of your body, no wonder you ran more than a racehorse but ended up paying a heavy price for it. That's pretty much what I have to tell you for now. So now close your eyes and sleep, I won't give you a bigger dose of medicine for your extreme tiredness, I don't want you to have a side effect of this magic".
Richard: - "SIDE EFFECT?? Wait a minute? I'm lying here and-"
The girl: - "Hey! Am I going to have to make you sleep punching you boy? Be quiet there and go to sleep, it's hard like that?"
Well, after that change of mood, he thought he'd better go to sleep for good before she actually put him to sleep on the punch and when he closed his eyes, he just fell asleep right away.
