Chapter 19 - Allies?

            As soon as Richard wakes up and sees that image of a gigantic female face inches from his face, he begins to panic as the giant woman brings him even closer to her huge mouth and when he was close enough to feel her breathing , she did something that Richard would be amazed.... She gave him a kiss and then smiled, putting him back on the ground and asking: "Is everyone ok? I hope I didn't hurt anyone" while Richard is still on the ground paralyzed by what happened.

            Nixa picks up a slightly sharp stone and stands in front of Richard protecting him while the others formed a defensive position and then the giant woman exclaimed: "Hey! Hey! Hey! I'm not going to hurt anyone, from what I saw from the experience you guys had in this place wasn't the best, but calm down, you can trust me because if I wanted to, I would have swallowed you a long time ago, now come, it's not safe here, I'll take you to my house, it's not far from here"

            Then Idril, the elf, carries Richard into the cage again and the giant lifts the cage, bringing with it and all the way Richard's friends were ready in case there was any betrayal or attack by the giant. Some time passed and they came to an immense and gigantic tree, taller than the biggest mountain on Earth. The giant says: "We arrived, this is where my house is" and Pita started asking: "Is that big tree over there?" and the giant responds with laughter: "HA! HA! HA! no, no, silly little fairy, there live those who are more superior and have more power, I'm technically a normal human, but giant..." and then her eyes they are a little closed, as if the sadness of a difficult past had come to her face, but then she opens her eyes again and smiles and says: "Well, let's go to my house" and then they arrive at a tree that was still big, but not as much as the previous one and the giant climbs the tree as if she had been doing it since she was a child and they arrived at some type of treehouse.

            "Make yourself at home, it's a bit messy, but I live alone, so organization is not really my priority. So... are you hungry? I have some fruits that I picked a while ago, they're still fresh" and then she offers what looks like peaches, but they are too big and they end up accepting it with their bellies rumbling and unable to disguise the enormous hunger they were feeling. While the giant was fed and his friends too, Richard came to his senses and saw the giant again, but this time he was a little calmer but still afraid and asked Nixa aloud: "Nixa! What's going on here? Why are we here? With this giant and why are we in a place that feels like her home?".

            Nixa replies "Well she saved us and if she wanted to kill us she would have done it already and she offered us shelter, food and yes this is her home, it's the best we have for now so please calm down and eat, you must." and then Richard takes a piece of the peach that Nixa offers him and begins to eat too and the taste was delicious, like something so natural but so sweet and hydrating, as if it invigorated the whole body and soul. The giant then starts to be in a more introverted position, as if she was afraid of something and was sobbing, as if she were crying and then realizing that, Lis went to her and see what was happening but before that Richard warned: "Lis ! Careful... please and Idril, accompany her, ok?" and Idril rolls her eyes and says, "okay! just one more bite and I'm gone" and then he takes a huge bite of the piece of peach, gets up and follows Lis. When the two got there, they saw drops falling on the ground... It was the giant crying and Lis touched the giant's foot as a way to comfort her and the giant stopped sobbing, looked her in the eyes and Lis said: "Hey, It's okay, okay? Whatever it is, we're going to get through this together, okay?" and then the giant started to cry even more softly and says: "You... You wouldn't understand... I tried, I tried to save them but... they took them and I couldn't do anything... why. .. am I so weak?" and then she starts to get more furious "I wanted so badly to kill them slowly... HOW I HATE THEM" and then Lis and Idril seeing that her emotions were a little out of control, they left very slowly and they went back to eating while the giantess continued to sob and cry.

            Richard took a while to fall asleep, because it was difficult to sleep with a giant by your side in a world where anything wants to devour you and noticed that she slept, still in the fetal position and lying on the floor. Richard then wanted to look out a bit where there was a window so he piled up some things he could and climbed up to the window which was round, like a hole right in the bark of the tree and the view was beautiful: A starry, bright night, with that peace and fresh air, a peace that he had never felt until he entered that place and then a loud noise catches his attention and he notices that the noises are approaching and he goes as fast as possible to his friends and in a moment of desperation, he covers his friends with a cloth that he had nearby and he hides behind the leg of a chair that was nearby and then two huge bright eyes appeared in the window where he was, as if the eyes were looking for something and he felt that it was not friendly, he could feel the creature's nails digging into the bark of the tree and going deeper and deeper and then the creature enters the house and turns out to be a gigantic fairy, the same size as the giant who accompanied them. The fairy blocked the moonlight that came from the window and you could only see the silhouette of a slender body, its wings and its huge and bright blue eyes and then the fairy starts to look at the giant and says: "Div... You... Weak... Useless... Bring food... Just that... useful." and a noise from outside the tree catches the fairy's attention and she flies quickly out and doesn't come back. Richard was almost looking death in the face and he couldn't sleep any longer.
