Chapter 11 - A perspective of life

They said that Vitera's house was about 50 blocks away, so it was pretty far away; they packed their things and went towards the place and as they walked, Vigara, Lis and Nixa were on Richard's left side while Idril and Pita were on his right side. Richard noticed that most people looked at him scared, angry or even some said certain harsh things to Vigara, most likely because of the "unhappy fame" that her older cousins give her species. Then she came close to him embarrassed and took his arm hugging him and Richard got a little silly and welcomed her making her as comfortable as possible.

Then Vigara asks Richard calmly:

- "Richard... Isn't there magic in your universe? Are you happy without it?" -being surprised by the question, he asked the reason for that question, so she a little afraid said:

- "It's just that the way you talked about your universe, it seems like you have no hope in it, that it's all a pattern that happens that way and no matter your effort, you can't change anything. Do you feel that way? Do you feel that can't change anything?"

That question was incisive in Richard's soul, managing to unravel his feelings for a reasoning that he "forgot" to hide... she noticed his distaste for his own universe and he surprised that the question was so specific, he replies:

- "Ahm.... Maybe..... My universe may not have magic, but it also doesn't have a certain pattern. There are some things that always work the same way, but there are still so many things that we don't know exist and that can work in such different ways, as I told you there with Pita, I was saying that based on MY planet, with the ecosystem of THAT planet, which can be totally different on another planet. This is something that can change and that there is no pattern, but gravity is something that will never change its characteristics, that is, it will always work the same with everything and everyone, but depending on where it is, it will just have a different force."

Vigara: - "What do you mean by that?"

Richard: - "Well.... I mean that, even if you think there is no hope for something to change, try YOU to change your position a little, get closer, move away and you will see a new world, even if it is a grain of sand. A simple grain of sand, can be a world full of life, we call it Fractals, that is, the closer you get to it, the more it is divided into smaller and smaller pieces, but it is always possible to go further and further away, like a road you follow. Look... I have some problems but I always look up to the stars and think: How many paths could I have walked, how many could I have gone wrong or given myself very well, but I'm here now, I learn from my past, I value today and prepare for tomorrow, this is called lessons, experience and hope. That's what moves me..."

Vigara: - "Wow... You are good with words.... And they comforted me not only my physical fatigue, but my mind and my spirit as well.... Thank you...."

At that moment she squeezed Richard's arms even tighter, as a refuge from her's past torments and the boy's heart warmed... His chest was filled with a great feeling of affection, love, hope, all kinds of feelings. Good things passed through his mind at that moment like a tsunami, it was something that was so deep that he had even forgotten that he was in a very different universe....

Vigara: - "And I bet Idril already told you my story, right? That elf.... He says he's unsociable, but he's already telling everyone else's story...." (She gives a slight smile corner and continue walking, with her clinging to Richard)
