Game Set Match

Hanukkah went really well and I didn't know that it was better than previous years when we usually have Hanukkah with only our mom and Jake having dinner at our house just like Thanksgiving but this year was different.

Now New Year is coming up and the stupid thing I did was say yes when Ryder asked me to spend New Years Eve together with him and another stupid thing is Jake is going out with Puck so there will just be to two of us. But I will mess it up, I will do that.

I set up two plates of pizza, two bottles of cokes and a bowl of popcorn in front of my bed in case Ryder came, and I can leave him to sleep and he has food.

"Come in!" I shouted as I heard someone knock on my door.

"Wow, you already prepared everything. Are we having a date?" Ryder grins at me and walks down the stairs.

"Have a date with yourself." I mumbled.

"I heard that." Ryder smirks at me and sits down next to me.

"You know what? Stay five meters away from me." I simply said to him.

"I brought some movies that we can watch together." Ryder says to me and shows me the DVDs.

"I choose this one." I said to him and pointed to the DVD.

"Nice choice. I watched this three times." Ryder says and put the DVD inside the DVD player.

I just looked at him and sat down near my bed and hugged my pillow. I didn't question how many times he has seen this movie but nor do I care how many times he has seen this movie.

Ryder is sitting down next to me holding my pillow from the carpet floor taking the popcorn bowl and placing it in the middle of us. I roll my eyes and let out a sigh then turn my face to the TV and focus on the movie.

Ryder Pov

It is kind of fun spending New Year's Eve with a girl that I like because there are only two of us here. Although she is still rude to me, she is cute and I like that when she is talking rudely to me but it doesn't go that far.

Also I know that deep down she is just testing me. Well, better luck next time, because I won't give up that easily to get the things I want. I let Marley go with Jake and I never want to miss a chance to get closer with her.

"So tell me the dictator dies because of that nuclear thing?" Jo asks me while looking at the TV screen.

"No, there will be funny things that happen at the end." I turn my face toward her.

"I just hope that he dies because of the nuclear reactor." She simply said.

"I hope so but the end wasn't like that. Just watch." I said to her.

Jo just nodded and focused on watching the movie. I can't focus on the movie because of her. I can't stop looking at her.

"I have read about that country and the dictator." Jo simply said and ate some popcorn.

"You are into those kinds of wars and nuclear things?" I chuckle.

"No." Jo frowns at me. "North Korea is a country that is hard to detect. They are not even on google maps." Jo says to me.

"How do you know that?" I raise my eyebrows at her.

"I always get an A+ on my geography tests, and I love something that is mysterious." Jo giggles.

See? If you get to know her she is actually nice. Only rude at first but I know she is just playing it cool. I guess you could say I'm playing her game.

"I'm just kidding, I read a lot of fun facts but the A+ on the geography tests are true." Jo laughs. "Here, I wrote down all the fun facts I got and I turned it into a little book." Jo says to me and shows me a book.

"You spend your time on this?" I chuckle.

"It's worth it. Some people think I spend a lot of time outside my house like partying and stuff but I just study." She said to me.

"Hey, you have fun facts about Star Wars." I chuckle and read the book of facts.

"Who doesn't love Star Wars?" Jo laughs.

"Want to know more fun facts about Star Wars?" I raise my eyebrows at her.

"What is it?" Jo raised her eyebrows at me and ate some popcorn.

"My bed sheets are Star Wars." I laugh.

"I kind of figured." Jo laughs.

"H-how?" I chuckle.

"Like I said before, who doesn't love Star Wars?" Jo says. "If Jake wasn't sharing a room with me he would definitely have Transformer bed sheets." Jo laughs.

"Oh yeah, well what about you? Would you have Barbie or Disney Princess bed sheets?" I laugh.

"That is so childish, no. I love the Avengers mainly Iron Man and my bed sheets would definitely be Iron Man obviously." Jo laughs.

"Tony Stark, huh. Have you heard of Sam's impression of Iron Man?" I chuckle.

"Totally stupid, but it was really funny." Jo chuckles. "Ah, we are missing the movie." Jo says and points to the TV then turns her face towards the TV.

I am still looking at her. Everyone's perspective about her is totally wrong. I can say that because I know her, she is rude at first but when you get to know her there is only one word to describe her and that word would be amazing.

I turn my face back to the TV screen and take popcorn without looking until I feel my hand touch another hand. I turn my face and what I am holding is not popcorn but it's her hand. I push my hand away and pretend like it was an accident. I can't help it. She is really cute tonight, she is wearing denim shorts and a sweater but still.

"Isn't that the girl who plays Julie in Friends?" Jo asks and points to the TV screen.

"I don't know, I have never watched Friends." I giggle.

"Well, I know her." Jo simply said.

"Who?" I turn my face towards her.

"That's Tina! Tina Cohen-Chang!" Jo laughs.

I am just laughing and looking at her. I can't help it. I really want to kiss her. Seriously. "You are amazing." I smile at her.

"What?" Jo frowns at me.

"You are really awesome." I said, smiling at her.

She is just looking at me frowning. I move my body still facing her then push my face closer to hers and kiss her while cupping her cheek. She didn't kiss me back but she let me kiss her until I pulled away from her and she just looked at me and I can't help but have a smile on my face. I really like her soft lips.
