Finally pressing finishing my report and sending it off, I close my laptop and slide it into my bedside table drawer. I stand up from my bed and stretch. I grab my tumbler to refill it downstairs.

I pass Charlie in the hall exiting Donnie's old room, "You're back!" I smile, wrapping my arms around her.

she smiles while returning the hug, "Just got back."

"I take it you met Mike?" gesturing to the room.

"Yeah, he took I was robbing the house."

I let out a chuckle, "Yeah, I guess Johnny didn't warn him."

She tells me she's going to go get changed and heads to her room. I look to Donnie's old room and walk in, "How's it going?"

"Oh, hey. Uh, good." he says.

"Out with it, Mikey." I join him on the bed and cross my legs.

"I drank Jakes' juice and I pulled my gun out on Charlie." he nods.

"Ah, been productive since I left you in Johnny's hands."

He gives me nod and sighs.

"Look, it happens. You didn't know what Charlie looked like, you thought you were protecting the house. And Jakes, well, he's Jakes. Just apologize when you see him. Don't look for him or hunt him down, just when you see him around, alright? I'll talk to him."

"Thanks, Stella. Why didn't Johnny stop me?"

"Because he's Johnny." I laugh. "He loves joking around, and being a goof. But, he's a good guy." I stand up from the bed, leaving Mike alone. I head over to Jakes' door and knock on it.

"Go away." he says.

"Jakes, it's me."

"C'mon in." he sighs.

I swing the door open and lean against the doorway, "I feel the love, really."

"What do you want?" he asks, typing on his computer.

"Meet the new guy?"

"Yeah, drank my juice." he grunts.

"I'll get you another juice."

"I'll get Johnny back for this. I know he was on some shit."

"Always is." I shrug.

"Don't worry about it, just juice."

"Nah, I'll get Johnny to get it." I smirk. "How's the case going?"

"Got him to agree to sell me a bird."

"That's good. Let me know if you need help."

"All right, now scram." he says, returning to his work.

"Again, I feel the love." I laugh, shutting the door.

The next morning I wake up and walk over my the window to open the blinds to see Johnny, Briggs and Mike out on the water. I shake my head and grab my wetsuit, "dicks."

I run down the stairs and onto to the sand, racing into the water and sliding onto the board.

"You didn't wake me up." I say, paddling to them.

"Didn't wake me either." Johnny says.

"They're teaching you how to surf?" I ask Mike.

"Kinda."

"What'd they tell you?"

"Find a swell and surf."

"Dude, seriously?" I turn to Johnny, knowing he said it.
