Sorry for the slow updates again. This semester is kicking my ass.
After Briggs and Colby confirmed their plan, Colby went off a bit anxious for what tomorrow would hold. As the retired agent left Paige came down the stairs.
"Hey. We need to talk."
"No, we don't. Look, Paige, Warren may have forgiven you, but that doesn't mean I have, okay? You betrayed us all. You can't stay in Graceland." Briggs tells her.
Paige glances at the floor, "Wow... You're so full of it. You want to talk about betrayal, let's talk about the shit you put Charlie through."
"That's none of your business, sweetheart."
"Don't patronize me. We know too much about each other to play that game. And anyways, it isn't about all of that. This is about Mike."
Briggs lets out a sigh, but proceeds to follow her to his room so they could speak in private. Once they're both inside, and the door is shut, Briggs takes a seat on his bed, while Paige opts to stay near the door as she explains what happened in Tecate.
"What kind of chickens were they?" he asks.
"What do you mean what kind?"
"I don't know. Were they– were they red?"
"They were reddish." she shrugs.
Briggs nods, "Mm-hmm. How many were there?"
"I wasn't exactly doing inventory, Briggs. Why? What's going on?" she takes a step forward and crosses her arms, careful of her still wrapped left.
He lets out a sigh, "Look, Mike died. He came back again. He saw something in between. I'll talk to him, see where his head is at. Okay?"
"Okay." she whispers, before leaving him to think.
Walking into the secluded wearing a grey hoodie, with the hood up, Mike tucks his hands into the pocket, getting closer to the dealer.
"What are you looking for, Chief?" the man asks.
"Oxy."
"Too late. You see, that shit's gone by, uh, 10:00 a.m."
Mike's face contorts, "You're out?"
The man rises from his leaned position against the fence, "I got you, man. Listen, I got T3s. I got Trams. I got Vics."
"Vicodin. Just whatever $80 gets me."
They quickly do the trade, and the man tells Mike to come earlier next time.
Mike starts walking off, grabbing the pill from the little baggie, when he notices what's pressed into it. He quickly turns around and goes back over to the dealer, "What does this say? What does it say?"
"Vicodin."
"Right." Mike shoves the guy up against the fence, holding him there with his upper arm to the dealer's chest, "And what doesn't it say? It doesn't say HP. This means this is a 5-milligram pill, and I just gave you $80, which is the street value of 10."
"Oh. Well, if you're a pharmacist, then why don't you go out and get your own shit, homes?" the man snaps, shoving Mike away from him.
Mike quickly shoves him back into the fence, "You're trying to rip me off? I think I want a refund."
