Chapter 5: family

"Stella I thought you were gonna stay with me till Friday so you can help me" jack asked from across the table. he had Ellis draped in his arms and his phone in the other, it was a position you had seen mason in atleast 1000 times but it was always attractive however jack just didn't suit a baby. "I was going to but I know I wont want to leave him and I dont think a week together will do us any favours", he nodded and stood up from the table paid the bill passed you Ellis and began to walk towards the nearest clothing shop. after various phone calls with Kim and many discussions with jack you finally picked a dress. the only other thing you needed was underwear which wouldn't fit Ellis like a onesie. After you had finished shopping it was time to give mass the call for him to pick you up however it seemed as tho jack was itching for arguement.

Eventually mason arrived and jumped out of the car to give Ellis a big hug and collect your bags. He climbed out of the car and ran over to you, taking Ellis very carefully for your arms and holding him up in the air to tell him hello in that adorable baby voice that makes you melt. "Hey stel" he said placing a hand on your arm and passing Ellis back to jack. It wasn't until jack turned to place Ellis in his pram and give made the bags he noticed the tattoo on his wrist. "Mase, whose that tattoo for", both you and mase looked at his wrist and then at each other, "oh its Ellis' date of birth and a little bee" mase responded very calmly. It was in that moment you saw jack turn to anger and you took one step closer to the pram gripping it with one hand and pulling it closer to you. Closer to mase. Jack sighed "and why have u got MY sons birthday on your wrist, you do know I'm his dad right not you if u want a kid go and find another skank to knock up and stay away from my family right" you were shocked that jack would ever refer to u as his family since he already had another girlfriend. Mase just looked at him and said "how many nappy's have you changed, how many night feeds have you done, how many tantrums, spit ups , mental breakdowns because she doesn't feel good enough to raise that baby or nights sat up whilst she cried about her weight and spent hours being sick because of it" jack looked at Ellis then back at you as mason continued "exactly jack you haven't I've dealt with all that from the minute that baby was born so no he might not be my baby but I have a right to be in the baby's life when u won't because I've done all the stuff you should've done as his dad so don't u dare refer to them as your family". It was like Ellis sensed the tension as he started crying. You slide the pram to jack and pass him the nappy bag as he walks away through the empty car park mase pull u into hug him as you release a sigh " sorry if I stepped out of line I'm just attached now" after that you looked up at him and knew he was the one but before you had time to plant a kiss on him your phone started to ring breaking up the moment.

Neither of use spoke a word on the whole drive back and when u arrived at the hotel you missed the baby to much not to FaceTime him so you planted yourself down on the sofa and pulled out your phone everything was completely normal until mase walked into the room and that was when jack popped up with a question "babe I want to get back together, I want to after the seasons finished moved to London and have my family with you cause I feel like I'm missing out" I'm a complete state of shock you told jack to stop being stupid and said goodbye it wasn't until you stood up you realised mason had been in the room. "Mase, mason you can't ignore me or hide from me we are in a tiny hotel, mason Antony mount where the fuck are you" it was then when you found him at on the Home Screen of his phone staring at his apps it wasn't till that moment you noticed his Home Screen was a completely random photo of you in a Chelsea shirt and masons joggers with Ellis sat in between your legs, a photo mason must have taken. You walked over quietly and lay on top of him kissing his neck. "Stella I want you to have ur family" that's when you looked at him and in that moment you made up your mind and pressed your head into the back of his neck and whispered gently into his ear "baby I already do".
