I wore my new mid-thigh, blue and white sundress that I would never wear again, I put on a little mascara and blush, along with my red lipstick, and my hair straightened and curled at the bottom.
Putting in the extra effort to look good before everything goes down.I put on my white stilettos, I could put myself through a little pain today.
I took my purse checking, to make sure that I had everything.
Sighing and taking a deep breath, I stood up and looked at myself in the mirror I gave myself a little pep talk.
You can do this.
I am with you.I comforted myself this is going to be a tough day.
I got my phone out texting Sergio " it's time!".
************
After around fifteen minutes I reached Austin's office where I agreed to pick him up.After a couple of minutes, Austin walked out in black jeans, a plain white polo shirt along with a navy blue jacket, wearing black goggles.
Sipping from his coffee cup, a smile forms on his face looking at me, he walked to the other side sitting in the passenger seat.
For some reason, I couldn't look at him.
" hmm...hello!" he said trying to get my attention.
" hi," I said curtly. Starting the engine. Still not looking at him.
He placed a cup of coffee in the holder.
" that's for you...." he said I could feel him looking at me, but I still looked forward, not giving him any heed.
He grunted in annoyance " going to be a fun date" he uttered sarcastically.
I felt really bad for treating him this way, I shouldn't be treating him like this at least not now.
I looked towards him, while he looked at his phone texting, someone.
" How privileged do you feel going on a date with me? " I questioned putting up a smile on my face.
Austin stopped texting, his head slowly lifting looking at me his eyes zeroing on mine.
I held the steering wheel hard, my knuckles turning really pale, why is he looking at me this way did he get to know about something.
"I think it should be the other way...princess, "he said with a teasing smile.
My chest felt light and relieved.
I rolled my eyes chuckling, I held the coffee sipping from it.
I immediately turned to look toward him, remembering the taste precisely. He looked at me smiling, " this is you....you made this for me " I asked taking another sip.
The sweet bitter taste of coffee changed my entire sour mood.
" gosh, you are amazing! " I said excitedly.
My fingers strumming over the steering wheel, my mood elated.
I glanced toward Austin who watched me intently, " what?" I questioned focusing on the road.
" Just thinking how god must have put all his artistic skills, all the beauty in one human," he replied casually with a tiny smile playing over his lips.
I could feel the heat rush up to my face, I bit the inside of my cheek hoping I wouldn't blush....but the way he looked at me confirmed, It did not work for me.
" Why are we going on a date mid afternoon and to a place that is like thirty minutes far..." he questioned watching out of the window.
I looked forward concentrating on the empty road, my knuckles turning white because of how hard I was holding the steering wheel.
