''Kev, what where you even doing there?'' Archie inquired, joining his friend group and Mia in the student lounge. ''You could've been shot too.''
''I was just night-jogging, you know, as one does, and suddenly I hear gunshots.''
''I may not have been updated on the memo,'' Mia mused, ''but since when has ❛night-jogging❜ translated to ❛Eversgreen Forest is the new and improved Grindr❜.
Everyone collectively sighed, hoping they would be spared of one mean girl's comments and snarks, yet the blonde wasn't leaving Riverdale High without a struggle. ''Look, can we atleast agree now that there's a killer on the loose?''
''With terrible aim.''
''Jughead, he murdered Miss Grundy.''
''Oh, boo-hoo, let's all host a pity-party for the child predator.''
''Arch,'' Betty sighed, ever the voice of reason, ''we don't know that these three crimes are related.''
''Guys, can we focus on what matters here?'' Veronica pleaded. ''Midge and Moose are alive. Archie's dad survived. The new season of ❛The Matchlerette❜ starts tonight.''
Mia stood in a huff, snatching her handbag off of the cluttered coffee table. ''And that's my cue to leave.''
