ghoulish ghoulies
STEVEN'S QUARRY
APRIL 14TH, 2017
SOUTHSIDE RIVERDALE
''Hiya, Jones,'' Penny greeted Jughead, admiring the glint of her blade in the makeshift fire pit.
The boy ignored her, cautiously approaching his sister. ''Mia! Are you okay?''
Mia struggled against the ropes which bound her wrists and ankles together, tainting her soft skin red and raw. ''She's not alone, Jug,'' she warned, casting a death glare at the Ghoulie leader.
Just then, a clang of metal announced his arrival. ''Surprise!'' Malachai exclaimed, swinging his spiked baseball bat.
''You said it was gonna be the two of us,'' Jughead fumed.
''I never go anywhere without backup anymore,'' Penny snarled. ''Not after what you did to me. Besides, we need to talk. All of us.''
''There's nothing to talk about. I'm taking my sister and we're leaving.''
''Not so fast,'' Malachai interrupted, as more Ghoulies pooled out of the woodlands and into the clearing. He buzzed his taser menacingly at Jughead, smirking. ''I've been waiting to see you again for a long time.''
Mia heard her before she saw her; she had never been happier to hear her admittedly velvety voice.
''Get back, you hobgoblin.''
And there Cheryl was, right when Mia needed her the most. Clad in a little red riding hood, and armed with a mahogany bow and arrow.
Malachai clicked his tongue as Penny leered at Jughead accusingly. ''I brought backup too. Like I said, I'm taking my sister and we're leaving.''
''Untie her, you Serpent hag.''
''Take her then,'' Penny scoffed. ''But remember, when all your friends are dead, I tried giving you a chance.''
