RIVERDALE
''Cheryl, I agreed to help you pick out an outfit, but I didn't agree to a makeover,'' Mia reminded the redhead, yet she was silenced as a stunning, white-ruffle top was presented to her. ''Unless it involves that blouse.''
''Nice, right? For the record, j'adore your pink Regina George aesthetic,'' she complimented, holding the blouse against Mia's body. It was too close for comfort, but neither of the girls seemed to mind. ''I'm merely augmenting it.''
The door to the bedroom burst open, revealing none other than Penelope. She stormed in, as if she had just caught her daughter in the middle of a murder. ''What is going on in here, Cheryl?''
''Mrs. Blossom, hi,'' the blonde greeted. ''It's been a while. I'm just here helping Cheryl choose an outfit for the will reading.''
''That's not a good enough reason to be here, in my house.''
''I invited her to divulge some much-needed fashion advice,'' Cheryl defended. ''And she's coming to dinner in two nights.''
''I am?''
''She is?'' Penelope narrowed her eyes at the two girls suspiciously. ''Just make sure your downstairs before the guests start to arrive,'' she spat. ''We need to present a united front against those scavengers.''
Mia rolled her eyes seconds after the matriarch's departure, sighing. ''She's a nightmare.''
''Isn't she just.''

RIVERDALE
''So, Mr Blossom, how does it feel being back in Riverdale after all these years?'' Mia asked politely in an attempt to strike up conversation. The conservatory was gothic and ghastly enough with the lit candlesticks and poison ivy crawling on the glass walls — it didn't need an aid of akward silence.
