"what are you getting ready for?" mingi was giving him a curious look from where he had been working at his desk on the other side of the room.

wooyoung stepped back from his full length mirror, eyeing the outfit he had put together. he had been trying on different outfits for fifteen minutes and finally decided on his white crewneck and black baggy jeans, accessorized with his thin silver chain necklace.

"why do i have to be getting ready for something?" he threw mingi a goofy look over his shoulder. "i look this great everyday!"

"no way, that's your nice sweater. the one without the big coffee stain on it."

wooyoung giggled. he wasn't wrong.

"is it another date with that yeosang guy you told me about?" mingi asked. wooyoung could hear the optimism in his voice. ever since he told mingi about his study date with yeosang, mingi had been really supportive. it was the first time in the three years they had known each other that wooyoung had gone on a real date. mingi was probably happy that he was finally leaving the dorm every once in a while.

"no, not yet," wooyoung shook his head. "we were going to do something this weekend, but we haven't decided yet."

"oh i have an idea!" mingi jumped up from his desk. "let's go on a double date!"

"double date?"

"yeah, me and yunho have been texting a lot recently. i was going to ask him out to the outdoor skating rink on saturday," mingi grinned. "invite yeosang as well, we can make it a foursome!"

"i- phrasing mingi..."

"oh whoops, but seriously it'll be fun! i really want to meet yeosang," mingi continued.

"okay," wooyoung laughed. it was a good idea. "i want to meet this yunho guy too. i don't think i've ever seen you so happy before."

mingi flopped down on his bed with a huge smile spreading across his face. "i think he's the most perfect person i've ever met."

aww. wooyoung's heart swelled with happiness. mingi had always had a hard time dating. of course he had plenty of options, but because of his job, his partners always ended up asking him to quit and getting jealous that he was showing off his body. they ended up breaking up with mingi before the relationship could get serious, and the tall man would always end up completely heartbroken. wooyoung hoped this yunho guy would finally work out for him – he really deserved it.

"i'll ask yeosang but i'm sure he'll be okay with it," wooyoung grinned at his roommate.

"perfect," mingi tossed a pillow across the room at him. "so if all your primping isn't for yeosang, who's it for?"

"aren't i allowed to just dress nice once in a while?"

wooyoung turned back to the mirror and took in his outfit again. maybe he should've tried on his cargo pants instead. he didn't really have many clothes to choose from and most of the one's he did have were second hand from the thrift store. in the past he'd never worried that much about fashion, but these days he would himself wanting to look a bit nicer when he got ready in the mornings.

mingi took off to one of his classes and wooyoung began scrolling endlessly on his phone until the time neared four o'clock. then he started pacing. the pacing really helped with his nerves. he could walk a marathon on a really stressful day.

right on the hour, there was knock at his door.

wooyoung paused a second before answering. he didn't want it to seem like he was waiting even though he definitely was. then he opened the door.
