8 MONTHS LATER.

Jace knocked softly on Y/n's door and waited a second before entering. She was sitting on her bed, reading but as soon as she saw him she folded her page and placed it down on the nightstand.

"Ready?" She asked, Jace made his way around the bed and saw she already had her shoes on.

"How long have you been reading Cartwright?" He chuckled and she shrugged.

"No harm in being prepared," She paused, "Come on, let's go!" She grabbed his hand and led him to the window. She jumped, he shook his head, looking down at her standing on the grass below in the pouring rain. He jumped after her.

He put his arm around her and twirled her in the pouring street. Rain soaking through their clothes, chilling them to the bone but neither cared for they were completely, utterly and entirely warm and content in each other's arms.

The rain soaked the pair through until not an inch of them was dry. They danced, ran, spun and chased until they couldn't feel their toes and couldn't feel their faces from smiling too much, all under the dim warm glow of the streetlight.

And when they arrived at Taki's... they would arrive, late, soaking, drunk and in love. Which, if you asked them, was the perfect way to do it.
