ARE WE THERE YET?
Now it's only two p.m. I'm pacing back and forth in the living room. The dogs are watching me as I constantly glance out the window, looking at Mrs. Y/l/n's vehicle.
I just want to spend all the time I have with her, already. A month will go by tremendously fast and I can't stand being here, without her. She's why I'm here in the first place.
"Kat—Kai, are you going to come eat, or what?" Denki calls from the kitchen, where they all are.
I walk over to them and lean against the entrance, watching them all devour squares of watermelon. I think back to the car and I count all of the people in front of me, including myself—that's five. Three go in the back, and two can go in the front.
"Yes, yes, this works." I mumble to myself. All their ears perk up, like a bunch of puppies—like the puppies jumping against my legs, right now.
"What works?" Myah asks.
I tell them about my impatience and the idea of bringing the kids along. Ejirou and Denks agree, immediately. Only two day and these guys are already best friends. It warms my heart.
"Myah, you call mom, right now! I'm going upstairs to get ready!" He runs past me, out of the kitchen before she can even protest.
The girl sighs and takes her phone out. "Eji, mom and you are like besties, so I'll let you do most of the talking," she smiles. Ejirou shrugs and agrees.
One, two minute, phone call later, and Ejirou is promising Mrs. Wilson to take care of her kids and feed the dogs before we hurry up and get ready to leave.
The guys and I take quick showers, and change into the best outfits that we packed. Then put our coats on and make sure everything is cleaned.
Once we're all set, and the pets are fed, I let them lick my face goodbye, then wash up, and we leave.

In the car, Mason, Ejirou, and Denki get in the back, so that leaves Myah in the passenger seat, next to me.
Something seems off about her. Ever since she and Ejirou had a private talk in her room, she's been really quiet.
"Sooo," I try to start a conversation with her, but she's looking out the window, as if she's just not in the mood for anything right now.
I don't want her to be like this, though. When I get to the first stop light, I notice an aux cord in between us, so I ask her if she wants to play any music.
The red light turns to green, and noticing the silence, between Denki's and Mason's conversation, she grabs it and connects it to her phone.
