"Kacchan...you'll be quirkless for the rest of your life! You—you don't know what that feels like!"

"You're right, but this is my decision to make."

He cracks his fingers, anxiously. I can see his eyes jittering as he takes in my words. I'm not sure how strong his feelings towards Raven are, but mine for Y/n are stronger.

"Enlighten me, Izuku. What does being quirkless feel like? Is it worse than losing someone you love? I'm sorry you weren't born with a quirk, but I was, and I've enjoyed the heroic lifestyle. I'm grateful I got to
live the life of a superhuman, but I can't contemplate right now. I know what I want and if I have to lose part of myself for it, that's fine by me."

Izuku groans in annoyance, like he does whenever I slap the back of his head. He looks at Raven who's smiling at him, knowing what he's thinking.

He knows he can't live a life without helping others in need. Being pro heroes has always been our dream. We've both fought hard to get where we are.

I never thought I'd be ready to let that lifestyle go, but here I am. Eventually, Izuku hugs me goodbye.

I don't stick around to see Raven's reaction to all of this. I rush outside, not even bothering to put my coat on.

I have to run over and borrow Mrs. Y/n's car.

That is until I notice something out of the corner of my eye. I turn to see the silhouette of a person across the street, on the sidewalk.

The streetlight is making it hard to see who it is, so I cautiously begin to walk closer, but pause when I realize they are also walking towards me.

Once they step into the light, a puff of smokes leaves my mouth, and I can feel the tension in my body leave all at once.

She just stands there, her hands at her sides, perfectly still as she's looking at me. I stare at her, and hope she doesn't see the clearly visible large puffs of air coming out my nose.

She came.

I slowly stretch my arms out, and watch as she does not hesitate to run forth into them. I hold her tighter than ever before, and don't let go until she gasps for air.

"I thought I was too late! You're still here! How are you still here? Katsuki what are you doing all—"

"I was on my way to you."

She throws her head into my chest, but pushes me back a second later. I see the concern and confusion on her face.

"What do you mean? Where are the others? Katsuki, how are u still here?"

She asks too many questions. I answer them all with one response—I let her know of my decision to stay.

She slaps herself, rubs her eyes, and starts pinching at my skin.
