"Hey," you heard a voice by your ear. Glancing up from the ground, you met Aoi's gentle smile. "Do you want to go back to your room..?"
You had momentarily drifted from the conversation, multiple theories filling your head as you observed everyone's reactions. Looking around slightly, you shook your head.
"No.." you paused, glancing away from Chihiro's body. "I'm calmer now. Besides, I want to help for this investigation..!"
Aoi nodded, giving you one last worried look before turning to the group.
"Y/N wants to stay," Aoi addressed, walking over to grab Toko. "W-Well.. for now, Taka and I are gonna drop Toko off at her room."
You noticed that Toko was acting.. weirder than usual. With her tongue poking out of her mouth and a dazed expression on her face, she giggled loudly.
As the trio left, you let out a shaky breath, looking around the crime scene from your spot. You found yourself asking the same questions over and over again.
'Who would do this?'
Pushing yourself off the ground, you slowly approached your friend's hung body.
As you noticed earlier, Chihiro was strung by the neck and arms with a white cord. Leaning forward with a hesitant sigh, you examined the cord more closely.
"Y/N.." you heard a deep voice murmur. "You don't have to go through this, ya' know?"
Glancing back at Mondo, you released a stressful huff.
"I did absolutely nothing to contribute in Sayaka's murder case.." you said with a hint of guilt. "I'm not letting that happen again."
