You always considered yourself to be a caring person in the past. It was essentially part of your nature as the Ultimate Empath.
You were always required to express, above all else, sympathy. Because if nobody else seemed to care, you at least wanted to.
But all that effort to fit into society, to escape the confines of your household, to show to others what would never be shown to you; was all dragged down the drain like hair in a shower.
All because of her, and the desperate way you clung to her every move. Even now, as she caressed your hair and hugged your body, you didn't struggle in the slightest.
You had given up a long time ago.
"You certainly have a talent for passing the buck, don't you? That must be your hope, huh?" Junko twirled your hair in between her fingers, casting a hateful glance toward Makoto, who had just denied everything she said to be true. "But we don't have much time left to keep up this banter. We have to draw things to a close soon.."
"What do you mean?" Makoto questioned, swallowing his worries for a moment before they bubbled back up.
This probably wouldn't end well.
"I'm talking about the vote, of course! You didn't forget about that little rule, did you?" Junko cackled, waving her finger around as she gestured. "Oh! And also, since this'll be the last vote, I decided to change the rules!"
"You guys so full of hope.. And me so full of despair! I've decided to have you vote which one will be punished!" Junko switched to her Monokuma voice, hugging the small plushie in front of her face as she spoke. "If even one of you votes to punish hope, well then.. I'll consider that a win for me, and punish everyone on the side of hope!"
