You and Taka had seen most of the rooms on the third floor, which didn't turn out to be very interesting.
"Do you have any idea what this thing is..?" You looked to Taka as you were pointing to a massive machine in the physics room.
Taka said nothing, only staring up at the machine with a blank expression.
"H-Hey.. you know this is a safe space, right?" you grabbed Taka's shoulder, forcing him to face you. "I'm hurting too. If you need someone to talk to.. just ask."
Your eyes brightened, watching as Taka hesitantly opened his mouth.
"--Hey guys," Makoto greeted as he opened the door, causing both you and Taka to flinch. "Don't you think this place is like some kind of research institute?"
'Just as he was about to open up too,' you thought with annoyance, letting out a sigh as Taka stiffened up again. 'Can't be helped now, I guess.'
"Probably," you replied, letting Taka grab your arm for comfort. "It's pretty big for a research institute though.."
Glancing around, you noticed Makoto's gaze land on the comically large machine in the center of the room. "What's up with this ridiculously big machine..?"
"Watch out!"
You jumped, glancing around until your eyes stopped on a smaller, more annoying, machine.
"Wh-What--?" Makoto seemed panicked, looking around wildly before stopping on Monokuma.
"What, you wanna do some quantum leaping!?" Monokuma pointed at the large machine. "That's a time machine! Pretty awesome, right? It was designed by a student right here at Hope's Peak!"
