"So you are telling me you chose a random woman out of a casino as Bonten's new secretary?" Rindou stared at Ran. The two of them talking as if you weren't there. You shifted from one leg to another in discomfort, feeling yourself shrink under the gaze of the purple-haired-hyenas.
"Can't be that bad, she seems better than the last."
"You said the same for the last, the one before and the one before the one before," Rindou tsked' while mindlessly fiddling with his gun.
'They had killed all of them,' you thought and shuddered, but didn't dare utter a single word out of place.
"Say, Yumi," Rindou pointed.
It took you two seconds to get alerted after the use of the name, "yes sir?"
"Before you sign the contract, tell me what do you have to offer?" Rindou said and leaned his head on his elbows that rested on an antique wooden table that looked like it was straight out of a museum. Ran stood behind Rindou, hands resting on the leather chair.
The glass pane behind them allowed light to come through and make them look like dark silhouettes to you.
"I have a minimal understanding of how criminal organizations work, my brother used to work in a small group called Brahman, until it disbanded."
"Ooh~ interesting," Ran chuckled darkly, "what was the name of your brother?"
You gulped at the question and said the name Naoto had managed to sort out, "Tanaka Yuki."
"Mhm," Ran nodded in uncertainty.
"What else?" Rindou asked, pinching Ran to be quiet, Ran winced and looked at his younger brother with a pout.
"I know the basics of how to use a gun, "you gulped and remembered the times Shuji had taught you the same, "my brother taught me..." you said bitterly.
"Oooh~" Ran said once again, earning a pinch on the side from Rindou.
Rindou's eyebrows raised in interest, read through this contract and sign it. Just know that if you disagree, you get killed.
You nodded and took the sheet from his hand.

You had a deathly grip on the fountain pen, Signing the contract and making sure that you signed it with the name Tanaka Yumi only, you handed back the contract.
Rindou smiled and extended his hand and you shook it, "welcome to Bonten."
